I remember my grandmother bought my dog the wrong sized milk bones back in the 1970s. He was a miniature poodle and ate the smallest form of milk bone but she bought the next size up and my dog was having a helluva time chewing them. It does have an issue because you will find few cases where there are nationwide edicts. Look at the U.S. state-by-state basis. Those that work in that manner likely have poor mechanisms for reporting b/c they have totalitarian governments.

That completely depends on the situation. Ordinarily no I would not, but there are occasions a light tap on the rear gets them to snap out of it.

My father used to be tied from the rafters in his basement and beat with a belt by his father. That is not what I am talking about.

A simple swat on the butt every once in while is not going to destroy a kid or make them more prone to violence.
