I’d rather sign TO
.....so Jerry can draw a line on the tablecloth again, the Board gains a returning Fall Guy and a distraction to the real issues.....Front Office?

I was thinking TO and Ferguson could draw up plays in the sand but exclude Dak

Need to let the young guys play and develop.
Im not sure they are giving themselves a choice of not doing this,,lol we are for sure going to find out about some young guys this season they have to fill some holes.

So in your meaningful way somehow they fell short six weeks into free agency but before the draft you think that there is no meaningful free agents left to build this team with this happens every year and yet you all seem very surprised shocked and the complaints are coming earlier and earlier in the offseason before they even have a chance now to build a roster to complain about you're saying we already sacrificed the 2024 season because you say so because your eyes don't see the list you had in your mind because somehow you think you're a GM and you're an owner or somehow have any credibility or validity in here as a professional sports franchise builder.. There's some egomaniacal fans here who also are clueless because of this is not any different than any other offseason and somehow the last three years they managed to win a lot of games two division titles three straight playoffs and somehow you think that we're sacrificing this season because of what you saw so far which is no different than most off seasons..

This is simply our front office and the way they do things it's shocking that the complaints keep coming as if it's new IT is not new they will actually find a lot of really good veterans still available in the free agent pool and more will be caught post strap and more before the season start there are a lot of good veterans out there every position the Cowboys will fill in once the draft's over and they realize their actual needs they will go find them and if you don't call them meaningful you act like everyone has to have a big name to be any good? Let me remind you paper champions are just that nobody wins in the offseason you can call it a win if a team does more but I watched the Washington team in New York giant team spend more the last three years in free agency I know it's hard to tell right because they're finishing last in the division we won two divisions in the last three years being on the bottom of that spending as far as big names go... Yet somehow on the front office has been able to put a winning team on the field even if it's not going as far in the playoffs I realize that disappointing playoff runs but already saying we're sacrificing this season over what you've only saw over six weeks with five months to go this is getting more ridiculous every year... Newsflash lots of really good players still left just because they're not in their prime or the biggest names it doesn't suit the fanbase who think they know better they really you all think because you play Madden you watch enough football games with your buddies and you have your fantasy football teams finish high every year that somehow you now know how to build a team better than actual professional staff can..

It will be settled on the field and we could talk about it in February whether this was a good or bad season because that's the only way to know is to play all 17 games...
If a team plans on filling holes in their roster by signing free agents then the sooner they do it the better. Obviously there are more options early in the process than later. Once 30 FAs are signed that’s 30 no longer available. Building the roster through the draft limits a team to selecting only the players available when it’s their turn to make a selection. Fans of every team are concerned with what their favorite team is doing to prepare for the next season. And concerned what their favorite team might do, and what their favorite team seemingly is not doing to prepare for the next season. Why do you feel you need to scold Cowboys fans for expressing their concerns about preparation for the upcoming season?

I don't think he has signed anywhere else ?

Veteran depth.

Maybe he bounces back ?

I would sign him, if it was a team friendly deal for say, 2 to 3 Million , on a one year deal ?

Your thoughts ?
His cap hit would have been 13.8M. His dead cap is 13M. They're spreading that out over 2 years, but that's not the point. If they bring him back now at any price, they'd be paying more for him than if they would have just kept him at 13.8M.

Lol, I don't do drugs.
You guys are getting a little snarkey.
Just trying to have a little off season conversation for crying out loud.
Have your grandson show you how to use YouTube on your TV. Have him put on Xavier Legette highlights so you can see what a 2nd round pick can give you. Even through your teary eyes you should see the light.

I think Gallup will end up with another team in 2024 and that the Cowboys will take a WR in the middle to perhaps a later round for a WR. As usual, what other teams decide to do will affect the Cowboys' picks, as well. Michael Gallup has shown indications of not returning to his former self.

Is this a sickness with this team that people can’t let go. I expect it from the front office because they never know when to move on. He had an ok 6 year career here, it’s time to call it a day!

Never said Tolbert would. I said I wasn’t high on him. Neither will likely end up being real good but Gallup’s best days are behind him. I would rather go with young receivers that haven’t reached their ceiling.
In Tank Year 2024, it's time to look at young guys on rookie contracts over veterans.

I don’t see us tanking. Barring an injury to Dak we’ll win likely win 8-10 games. Not great but that’s not tanking.
