You and I both know that I criticize poor criticisms, and that I offer criticisms of my own where I think they're appropriate. Objectively look through my recent post history if you really think otherwise. But either way, it's not germane to this thread, so let's just let it drop, ok?

Fair enough.

Who do you take at #4 if you can't trade out?

Who's gone? Both QBs and Ramsey? That's my worst case scenario. In which case I'd take Bosa if I couldn't trade out. My order is Goff, Wentz, Ramsey, Bosa, then Jack. Jack over Bosa and maybe Ramsey if it weren't for the knee.

I do disagree because fumble recoveries are basically luck. Jones had a very good year considering he was a rookie on a team with no offense, picks or no picks.

Then we'll agree to disagree. I think that forcing turnovers is a major component for a defense and is a big part of what separates the great ones from the mediocre ones.

I find it funny that a team assembles defensive players who don't get their hands on the football and then wonders why their defense doesn't force turnovers?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I don't care for Bosa or Jack at #4....I wish they could find a trading partner, acquire more picks...and reload. We need a QB though...I still say...what if the Browns, nor LA draft Wentz...that would be wild... I'll put down the whiskey now...

Then disagree we shall!

Sean Lee, Tyrone Crawford, Jack Crawford and Randy Gregory combined for a grand total of ZERO fumble recoveries last year. It doesn't mean they suck.

It truly would be.
:(

If we don't manage to draft one of the top three QB's, Wentz, Goff or Lynch I'd prefer to wait til day 3 or just skip it altogether this year. But I do think we'll draft a QB since we have a need at backup, just hope it's not a 2nd/3rd tier guy on day 2.

Show me where I ever said that anybody "sucked". You're rushing to extremes that I've never said, and attributing comments to me that I never made.

Yeah, that's not the outcome I want, either. But at least at 4, you're still getting a pretty dang good player, no matter what.

Jack injury issues and Bosa party issues are the last risks Dallas needs to take, especially when looking at absolutely amazing talents in Tunsil/Ramsey with no injury or immaturity problems.

To me that is the takeaway of the Rams trade today. Assuming the Browns draft a QB also, Dallas is guaranteed to get either Ramsey or Myles Jack, who a lot of people have at the top of the draft. Brugler has Jack #2 overall and Ramsey #3.

A player like Ramsey, you don't worry overmuch where you can play him. He's going to be one of your best DBs, either way. Just plug him in and go.

I would like to have seen more ints. But I've watched a lot of his plays and he is always in position to break up plays which is pretty important too. Turnovers are great but 3 and outs do get your offense back on the field

Brugler was on 105.3 the fan today and said the Cowboys see him as a corner. They love him at that position according to him, even though he only had 1 year playing it. Very similar to Byron Jones, who one could argue is just as explosive athletically as Ramsey. We've all see Byron for a season and it's awfully apparent to me he's better at safety then corner, although he played pretty well at corner.

His thought that at that position it would be up and down year as he's not use to playing with his back to the QB, but use to being at safety seeing the whole field where he can diagnose and wreck things.

Sighhhhh......this is why I do not trust our scouts when looking at DB's.

I like him at corner as well.

He's got the potential to be one of the very best.

You know who else is versatile? Byron Jones. A good player that can play corner or safety. Unfortunately, like this draft's top defensive players, he didn't make any game-changing plays either.

Give me a playmaker at one position who makes game-changing plays, and you can keep the versatile guys who line up all over the place and do nothing to affect the outcome of the games.

Ramsey is a playmaker. He just didn't get many INTs in college.
