Brunell named starter, Jansen breaks thumb, Ramsey trade?***Ultimate Skins thread***

I wonder what Joe Thesimann is thinking right now. Wasn't he hyping Ramsey all off-season, and last year saying how how he would thrive under Gibbs' guidance?
I was just thinking the same exact thing.

Back to some basics, Brunell was with them last year so its not a matter of knowing the offense. But how much work did he get in preseason? A lot or did they try to really work their no.1 qb pick? Can't find any more preseason stats now that season has started.
Saw a bit of the skins/bears game, remember how dangerous Brunell used to be running? Those days are history.

Dale he picked the skins to be in the Super Bowl........Thesimann is a Commander...and that's being nice.

Does this mean no superbowl for them? I wonder what Joey T thinks :lmao2:

Don't be so excited ...Brunell is a tuff QB qho can you fits with his movement - you saw Brees kill us with his movement...
That was 20 years ago. He's a statue.

Ramsey should now know he's a terrible QB being that Theismann thinks he's good.

Brees with a broken leg > Brunell

Brunell couldnt throw it fmore than 10 yards with anything on it to save his life

Brunell sucks, but I'd rather face Ramsey. He's even worse then Brunell.

Its obvious Gibbs didn't want Ramsey as the starter. He should have just had the stones to make the move in the preseason. Instead he hemmed and hawed about how Ramsey was his guy for 6 months, and demoted him 1 half into the season. Gibbs looks like a PR mindfull, nutless, rookie HC.

Put me in with the crowd that would rather face Ramsey than Brunnell. Ramsey and Chad Hutchinson were seperated at birth.

This is either a rather transparent bit of misdirection or the game has truly passed Gibbs by. Why on earth would you announce this a week in advance, even if the decision were made? Ramsey's injury gave Gibbs all the excuse he needed to be non-committal on who his starter would be. Why, then, not try to create uncertainty in the Cowboys' minds and make them prepare for both QBs? Sorry, but naming the starter a week in advance would be such an obvious coaching mistake that I have to believe that Gibbs is being intentionally misleading.

I think the answer is on the other thread about this on the board, Ramsey made it public he wants out of washington. Gibbs made the decision and told both qbs and then got in trouble when he discovered Ramsey wasnt going to lie down and take it. Thus, he had to come forward so early.
JMO.

The wheels are coming off the bandwagon so fast on Extremeskins it makes the Eagles SB loss look like a Mardi Gra party :lmao2:

Ah, I see. In that case, maybe he should have pulled a Parcells and kept the players themselves in the dark. Any way you slice it, this is an embarrasing situation for Gibbs.

Ya those kids need to be under suicide watch over there, it is very entertaining watching them go from yesterday's albeit miguided high's to today's lows.

The man is not mentally in touch with this game anymore. While BP usually has brilliant gameplans, Gibbs looks like he just sends his players out and says "Do something".
