You are wrong. First it's only fans that have no first hand knowledge of Prescott's injury and rehab that try to use it as some big sticking point but the actual doctors and trainers have said not only will he be go to go next season but is ahead of schedule in his rehab.
Next the reason why the Cowboys would use the non-exclusive tag for the third tag is if he does walk they get 2 first round picks, if he doesn't walk they still get their QB. The Cowboys really wouldn't want to have to use any tag for the third time because the tag amount would probably be more than what they would pay per year on a long term contract.
Oh ya, if a team makes an offer on a player with the non-exclusive tag they have to be able to sign that contract without making any adjustments to their cap. This rule was put in just to keep teams from making offers for more than the original team offered just to make the original team pay more money.
Oh yes I do remember 2000-2006 and when in 2003 they signed an UDFA named Tony Romo.. Also Prescott didn't sign his franchise tag that quickly. In fact it was over 3 months after it was offered before he signed it. It was offered March 16th and he didn't sign it until June 22nd.
Neither one of us have any first hand knowledge of any of this but teams do learn from other teams mistakes. Washington refused to tag Cousins a third time so they let him walk. Cousins signed with the vikings for the same amount the WFT offered except the vikings guaranteed the entire contract that the WFT wouldn't do. The WFT lost their starting QB and got nothing for it except a 3rd round comp pick the following year.

I would trade him to NE in a heartbeat as well. 1st + 2nd should do it.
Paragraphs please, bro.
I was saying Dak may be more inclined to take a quick deal if his injury is worse than we know. Something he would know. I never said that was the case. Teams lie about injuries all the time nonetheless.
Know one knew what Romo was. Best we knew was in the 2005 preseason when he made that come from behind victory but it was still the preseason against backups. The point is that we have gotten insanely lucky with the last two QBs and we spent 7 years in the wilderness before them. When it comes to QBs 1 in the hand is worth 5 in the bush.
I do agree that the WFT is a great lesson for teams concerning letting a QB go. I know they wish they had Cousins now.
My Bad
Oh Wow Dad....how come Andy Dalton hasn't won a playoff game too?
How many has Josh Allen won?Dak has only won 1 playoff game in over 4 years so not much to brag about as you continue to compare him to Dalton.
New England would sign Prescott in a heartbeat given a chance.
How many has Josh Allen won?
If Buffalo win all he can do is EQUAL Dak
Keep moving the Goal Post!!
Lol. That's more than Rodgers in his first four years. Dak two playoff appearances vs Wodgers zero in his first 4 years. Top it off, he's been in the league now 15 years & has one silly ring to show for it. So what is the issue with it being your version of dropback and shotgun? The point here is to bias out playaction which by design makes it easier for QBs to read a defense.
The clip was to give examples of what they were talking about with the data set.
There were genuinely some people on here claiming that Dak Prescott is a better QB than Aaron Rodgers. Delusional. The fact you are going to try and angle it to say Dak is better than Rodgers shows how desperately you need a 12 step program.
And there is no proof for your opinion just @khiladi Eye Test sponsored by @Swagger "like"It doesn’t bias out play action, because Dak is a top two QB in its usage, next to Goff and he’s awful on his second progression and nobody doubts he has a ‘high completion percentage’ of useless yardage many times. We know he can throw from a quick drop back, when guys are wide open and the blocking is excellent like in these
Clips but he’s severely limited on a traditional drop back, meaning he is actually a severely limited QB.
The gap between the ears of Dak haters is cavernous!!! They don't know any better......the world needs ditch diggers too.Passer Rating ---------- Dak 99.6 ---------Dalton 90.7
QBR ---------------------- Dak 78.4 ---------Dalton 56.4
YPG -----------------------Dak 371.2 -------Dalton 192.6
Compl. % ----------------Dak 68.0 ---------Dalton 65.4
Now, explain how those are identical stats …
This is actually a good post.In 4-1/3 seasons Dak has gone to the playoffs 3 times and has a 1-2 record.
In 3 seasons Allen has gone to the playoffs 2 times (including this season) and has an 0-1 record (this season TBD)
Career wise Dak has a record of 42-27 in 69 games started....a win percentage of .609 (wins by year: 2016: 13 2017: 9 2018: 10 2019: 8 2020: 2)
Career wise Allen has a record of 27-15 in 42 games started.....a win percentage of .643 (wins by year: 2018: 5 2019: 10 2020: 12)
So Allen has a better winning percentage as a starting quarterback and is improving his teams wins each year whereas Dak is actually decreasing team wins by year.......and after this season Allen will have either 1 less, the same, or more playoff appearances and wins than Dak in 1-1/3 less seasons.
Now that is moving the goalpost.....led by a better quarterback.
ooopss no gap!!!Passer Rating ---------- Dak 99.6 ---------Dalton 90.7
QBR ---------------------- Dak 78.4 ---------Dalton 56.4
YPG -----------------------Dak 371.2 -------Dalton 192.6

Like I keep saying, the tears are going to be so delicious when Dak is franchised
At that point he will be here cursing why the trash they have used to shore up the defense can’t stop anyone. So you will celebrate when Dak is franchised and it further puts this organization backwards given the overwhelmingly lopsided resources spent on offense compared to the defense.....which will lead to more 8-8 or worse seasons with no playoffs.....but no worries as Dak and the other idiots will get paid to do nothing.
