Good points!! They are on the hook for 16 million(or there abouts) for this guy over the next 2 years.
That is another reason why I like this move.

See, I'm still my same selfish Skins hating self.

Redneck? I'm 30 minutes south of you in Silver Spring. Let's go wallpaper shopping this week.

And they're playing him strong side. This is someone who typically drops into the 220-225 range by December. Good luck holding up against the RT and TE doubleteams at the point of attack in the running game and keeping your legs fresh enough to rush the passer. Of course, if you just retreat against the run like Taylor typically does, that's one way to preserve energy.

I'm sure the back is healed nicely after an entire offseason of putting on sequins and spandex outfits all offseason.
Good points.

Hai guyz.

I won't deny that Snyder is probably deluded about the prospects for his team. I don't mind optimism however. Never have. Not even from other teams.

I just think they are a better team today than they were yesterday at this same time. That doesn't mean I think they are going anywhere by adding Taylor.

If they hadn't lost two DE's for the year yesterday, i might buy that.

The couple million Zach will get this year looks pretty good right now.

I'd take Taylor over both the guys they lost, any day of the week and twice on game days.

Where is SkinsHokieFan?

More than ever I think they were stupid to draft Fred Davis over Calais Campbell.

Apparently the Commanders wouldn't. At least not until those two were on a gurney.

Either way-as much as I HATE to say it, the Skins will nonetheless be competitive this year.

No-don't think they'll go 12-4 or anything. But keep in mind last year-if Jason Campbell had hit a wide open Santana Moss late in game 1, they would have swept us. We dodged a bullet on that play. And they also lost a number of other games by razor thin margins.

Us signing Zach is better than the Skins signing Taylor even thought Taylor might be a better player.

True, but the depth is thin. They better hope Carter and Taylor stay healthy all year.

You mean Pete Davis?

Yeah-I was shocked they didn't draft Campbell-a big stud DE. He was projected to go in the 1st round, and was right in their LAPS in the 2nd.

The Devon Thomas pick was very good, but Malcolm Kelly?!?

Am surprised Taylor would agree to this trade. He wanted to either got to a legit SB contender or a high profile team. Commanders don't fit either category (although playing in the nation's capital I guess passes as high profile but seriously??) so Danny must be paying out huge bucks to keep Taylor for at least 2 years. Will be interesting to watch. Parcells probably got the best deal he could cause there's no way he wants Taylor around the team he's rebuilding. Parcells doesn't like vet players who stand up to him & command the attention Parcells reserves for himself.
And all of this is hilarious because Parcells *isn't* the G.M.

No, I actually meant Fred Davis. Don't know where in the blue blazes I came up with Jones.

They are both HOF players, so that point is debatable.

I firmly believe we got closer to a superbowl with Thomas than the skins did with Taylor. Neither one has much left but if I were the skins I would have tried to go younger and develop somebody as opposed to getting a guy for a year or two when you need so much more than one player IMO.
