I'm your new strong side defensive end, and I'm ready to take on a double team.

Bring on the tight ends.

Funny how these pantywaist jokes come about, yet Emmitt Smith was there and nothing. Strange even.

Uh, there were jokes about Emmitt dancing.

I could care less. I have never seen one minute of that show.

Emmitt was a Cowboy why poke fun at our own players? I get your point but why defend Taylor?

Why don't you get the unbiased ball rolling and tell us a few denigrating jokes about yourself.

Yeah, boy, there just weren't any Emmitt jokes when he was on the show. That's for sure.

Luckily for Emmitt's employers who were paying him to be a football player, he focused on football in the offseason and waited to do dance contests until he was retired with nothing else better to do.

I think this was a good move if they had gotten him for a 3rd.
It is a good move for this season seeing that they had no other choice. Against the boys, no way Flo has a problem w/ a guy weighing 225 lbs. For whatever pass rush ability they gain, they will lose that advantage against the run. Especially at Jason's age. Net gain and loss.... This is a net loss day for the Commanders no matter how you spin it. Daniels career is done.

Yes, it is always a good move to throw a 2nd round pick out that could be a star in the league for 10 years just to get someone who wants to dance and prance and act for a living in a year or two.

dumbest Danny move ever.

Who knows how Jason will perform, but I don't think anyone outside of Skin fans even remotely see the Skins as Super Bowl contenders, therefore giving up a second for a 34 year old does not sound very smart.

Why make pointless jokes about a player who can still play? If Jerry Jones traded for Taylor, I can guarantee you not a one of these knee slapping references to Dancing with the Stars gets posted.

I suppose it makes everyone feel more secure, but the Commanders got better for this upcoming season. I could care less about how it wrecks their cap (funny that never comes back to kill them like we think), blows their draft in 2009 or 2010 or makes them look silly.

I care about winning a Super Bowl this season. Taylor in this division makes it harder. It is just that simple.

When a 35 year old Phillip Daniel is irreplaceable on your current roster and replacing him calls for a desperation move, something has come back to bite you.

Again, I just ask if this was such a brillant, no brainer move, it makes you wonder why the Commanders waited until late July to do it. Or why any other of the 31 NFL teams didn't jump on it when the Dolphins have been dangling him all offseason.

I mean the Skins were just one Jaston Taylor away from the big game.

I get your point, they are better with Taylor than they were with Daniels, but still it is like putting racing stripes and tachometer on a minivan if you ask me.

The minute they passed on Calais Campbell AND Trevor Laws(when they had 3 2nd rounders almost back-back-back), I had a feeling it all but put a fork in their season.

Really-if I were a fan of a team that picked 3 receivers back-back-back in the same round, I would act like my hair is on fire.

And if putting that tachometer and racing stripes on there made you millions versus not, you'd do it too.

Again-they were a misfired Jason Campbell pass in the endzone to sweeping us last year. They also blew a number of close games last year as well.

They're hardly a great team, much less a very good one. But they're not the Niners either. They'll continue to give teams fits.

I am not knocking them. He is definitely a good addition, eventhough personally I don't like the idea of giving up a 2nd for 34 year old guy for a team that is not going to the Super Bowl.

Why are you getting so bent out of shape? Are you related to Taylor? He's a Foreskin now so if people want to make fun of him so be it. Lighten up.

I didn't say it was a no-brainer. The cost isn't anything to dismiss and it really is risky.

But it was the only move they could make right now unless you can come up with other alternatives. Their DE depth was pathetic. Yes, they deserved this for not drafting an end in April. But that doesn't make this trade bad unless you consider the price. Taylor can still play.

And?

Inferior team beat good teams all the time, specially when you are talking about division rivals.

With or without JT, they were going to give Dallas fits. So essentially nothing has changed.

JT is not going to put them over the top.

Remember last year when Newman got that nagging foot injury in TC, alot of CZ's here were screaming for Jerry to trade for Asante Samuel.

I would bet if Jerry went as far as trading a couple of #1's for him, most Zoners would have done cartwheels.
