Near zero probability of winning with 3 INTs vs a good team.

The defense held the Eagles to the 2nd lowest total yards and lowest passing yards of any opponent this season.

The Eagles offense had a short field multiple times. The 85 Bears defense would not win that type of game.
Thought it was a team game? That's what I've been hearing the past few weeks anyways. Funny how this gets twisted from week to week. People talk about its a team win/loss and then point to "Dak's record against the Eagles/East" It's comical how much flip flopping happens around here.

If fans actually watched Cooper play you can see his limitations. It's not like he popped off the screen like Romo did when he was undrafted and finally got a chance to play.
Cooper needs playaction, he is not a tight window thrower, has a slow delivery.
I mean he is an old school backup, and he more than did his job. I really thought we were headed for a top 5 pick.
Kudos to Cooper.
Dak is no world beater, but he is just a level above. It is ok to say that. I am not even close to a Dak guy, btw.

Yeah, pile on Rush....what a surprise. Yes, he played poorly the 1st half and his 3 INT's were bad. However, he led Dallas back to a 20-17 deficit early in the 4th quarter and the defense failed to stop Philly from driving 75 yards in 8:00 to seal the game. Also, what about the stupid 4th and 1 pass call on their own 30 down 14-0, the failure to challenge the result of the preceeding 3rd down play, and the piss poor OC's decision to go pass happy when the running game was working in the 1st half????? Oh, and what about all the bad penalties?????

So just like so many say Dak isn;t to blame for everything in a loss, neither is Rush.
Cooper Rush damage control......who knew he had a whole PR team on this site lol.

You just argued it wasn't a team game but now its a team game? You just go with whatever side is anti Dak lol.

I was just taking issue with your claim that he had not done your exact situation in recent history. He started 5-1, which to you is apparently meaningful, as recently as possible.
Eh fair enough. As much as I will bash on Dak for the back half of last year, he was an MVP candidate before the injury.

Honestly think your post reminds me that a lot of these team’s situations are likely to change as NFL DCs catch up on what they’re doing

So what you are saying, we lose this game even with Dak...

I'm saying the talent gap between Dak and Cooper is vast. Dak is historically fantastic against the NFC East and I believe we win going away last night if he plays. Iggles' offense didn't do much other than run well in the second half. Without short fields, their offense probably scores half as many points.

Rush didn't have his best game but there's a reason he's a backup QB. The Eagles were jumping the short routes and he kept trying to force the ball in there. He could've easily thrown 5 ints. But the guy righted the ship after Dak went down and helped save the season. Hope he gets a 3 year contract out of this because he's proven he can come off the bench and win.

Lucky it wasn't more than 3 INTs.

Still, I have no complaints. Since Dak has been out the Cowboys got what was needed from a backup QB. They remained competitive, won several games, and the team stayed in the hunt.

Absolutely agree. My fear is that DCs have caught up to Dak. My hope is im wrong and he comes back and lights it up. If not though we can be pretty good but not win the big game with or without him. That's basically the short version of what I was trying to say.

In the Cowboys Game Preshow the fellas went over their main key to winning. Isaiah Stanback said Cooper had to have 300 yards and 3 TDs. Didn’t think this was a team you could beat with the previous MO. I feel like that is what Kellen thought too and unleashed him a little. I agree more with Nate Newton who said the only key was not to have mistakes. It’s a dominant team that you can’t beat if the game gets out of hand (even though we definitely gave it a good try.). Too many early throws, throwing on short yardage, and you could tell Zeke was finding his rhythm. Different QBs, different head coaches, same offensive coordinator.

Said all week my biggest fear was how KM would react to being down early to philly..he would go air raid, its KM thats who he is, he wants us to be an air raid team.

Take away those mistakes and MM needs to challenge plays that are obvious mistakes made by refs. It was a first down. Take those mistakes and it’s closer.
Yeah I was going to see if he could possibly uncross his arm
Sadly our Dc couldnt adjust fast enough
Having the ball dumped in his defenses lap over and over makes it difficult.

Cooper Rush is a good back up QB
We lost as a team last night just like we won as a team on all the wins.
Next team up.

I said several times prior to the game that if we don’t generate more offense and points than we have and Rush makes any mistakes we’re done. Doubt anyone is surprised that he imploded in this game we all thought he was probably going to be in over his head. With that being said Rush did exactly what you’re hoping for with a backup QB during his five starts he kept us afloat.

I see some putting the game on the defense for not being able to stop the Eagles offense after the lead was cut to 20-17, but even if they did and Cooper Rush was able to drive down the team to win with a TD. That still would have showed how a Cooper Rush led offense would be incapable of winning a game in which the defense doesn't hold the opposing offense to 20 points or less. So if it wasn't last night, then there still would have been some point in which the offense with Cooper Rush was going to need to score more than 20 to win some games. Especially if Cooper Rush were to take over the starting job like some believes he should have.

I said before the game that the Cowboys would at least need to score in the mid twenties to win and the Eagles scored 26.
