This is how you solve it. Make Rush the #2 QB for game 4. If he continues to play well, then you have no choice but to give him the backup role. Then, you let M&M split time at QB for game 5 before being released.

Rush now has 4 TD's in 3 games, plus 2 other scoring drives that ended in FG's. The moment we waive him, he's gone forever.

And before somebody says "Well that was against 2nd stringers and scrubs!" who exactly was Kellen Moore playing against out there these last 3 games?

Remember week 17, after we had a lead, we put in Sanchez and lost a game we should have won....

IMO, we have a far greater chance of winning garbage games with Rush at QB, instead of Moore. Also, if Dak does get dinged up, I have so much more faith in Rush. He reminds me of a more efficent young Tony Romo.

This isn't even debatable. Cooper Rush should be the #2 on the depth chart by Monday. What else is there to talk about?

Garrett penciled him in as the back-up already yet he lost his eraser so no re-do's :lmao:

I think they will try to keep him as the 3rd QB and only keep 5 WRs and thats OK because they are not going to cut Moore.

With Moore in the game, the offense became the Mayflower... all of us passengers are sick and dying, can barely get across the Atlantic. Wind totally out of the sails...
As soon as Rush came in, the offense became a Littoral Class Combat Ship.

He won't be released but I'm afraid they may try to sneak him onto the PS.....he has earned the right to be the #2 IMO.

...I really hope they don't try that....he would be picked up for sure...Can't see them cutting Moore either. so I assume that they might keep 3 QBs this season...next season Moore and Rush can really battle it out for the #2 position...and IMMHO Rush will win again!.
But then who gets the axe from the 53 this season...?!?

QBs are currency in he NFL.

Theoretically, if we keep Rush, and he shows any skills, we'd be able to flip him for a pick, which, regardless of round, would be great a great return for an UDFA.

Pie in the sky, if we kept him over Moore and he ended up playing for a bit and won, we could get a nice return for him.

IMO, he's already better than Moore, so I say it's a win win to keep him.

Like others, I'm definitely seeing some Romo secret sauce in Rush's game too. He elevates the skill players around him whereas it feels like the skill players are bailing out Moore. 100% not clearing waivers to get on ps.

We need to hold onto Rush with both hands. I do not see this guy clearing waivers.

We say this every year about a no-name QB on the roster. Romo is the only one we were ever right about.

Are you even serious?!? That Matt Moore fella has done ok wouldn't you say?? And Rush looks way better then him. He's already made this team and is going to a valuable asset in the future. Finally!!

Remember, this is the same staff that would have started Moore over Dak last year had Moore not break his leg. SMH.

Anyone have Tonya Harding's phone number?
Does she know how to contact Jared Smith?

This is exactly what the Cowboys should be thinking. I don't care how much of an asset Moore is in the film room, we better not pick him over Rush.
