If McCarthy wasn't being so secretive then I might have a reason to think otherwise. You have a right to your pessimistic opinion.

That’s what I thought while reading this thread. You’re mad.If McCarthy wasn't being so secretive then I might have a reason to think otherwise.
Come at me with your best debate about why I'm wrong so I can laugh at you after game 3. Bring it!
Umm because they havent played yet...Come at me with your best debate about why I'm wrong so I can laugh at you after game 3. Bring it!

I hope you aren't a professional psychiatrist seeing real patients because you suck at what's going on in other people's minds. That’s what I thought while reading this thread. You’re mad.
You weren’t feeling/thinking like this prior to today (you’ve been relatively positive). So what happened just before you changed your take on things?
The blue/white scrimmage.
The best that I can deduce, it appears like you got so mad at the team for not showing you something to be entertained, that you actually somehow decided that being secretive will cause a very slow start to the season. That showing nothing to fans will somehow hurt Dallas in the first few games.
So now, you’re upset at McCarthy and since you’ve not been able to watch any practice, the team’s and McCarthy’s punishment from you is that you personally expect them to lose the first three games because you haven’t seen enough?
Do you think this somehow hurts or bothers the team or other fans? Do you think that even if the team starts poorly that anyone other than you will blame them not showing the scrimmage?
I think we lost at least 2 games, probably more, last year just because of poor special teams play.I'm honestly curious to wonder why you think that. I think very differently. Here are the reasons I think we should be 2-1 by that point.
1. We have Mike McCarthy who is a completely different coach than Jason Garrett. Therefore, I think we will be well coached, unlike last year.
2. Our offense has some serious weapons. Not only do we have Dak, Zeke, Coop, and Gallup, but we also have CeeDee. Yes, he's a rookie, but I think just his potential makes him a threat. Combine that with the other WRs we have, and it's a nightmare to gameplan for. If you shut down one of the WRs, the others should be open. If you try to drop back to cover them all, then you'll get gashed by Zeke. It's a lose lose situation. The only thing we really need to do on offense is not commit penalties and not have major injuries.
3. Our special teams should be much better. Fassell is an excellent ST coach. We have an excellent kicker. We have some serious options at kick and punt return. I'm optimistic there.
4. On D, our dline, on paper, looks MUCH better than last year. Our D is NOT coached by Marinelli anymore. I like our LB group and our CB depth. The only real concern I have on D is safety. That's the main reason I don't think we'll be 3-0.
5. Our first 3 opponents are @ Rams, vs. Falcons, and @ Seahawks. The Rams are a favorable matchup for us. I think we should be able to beat them. Their ground game is weak, and our run D should be really good. Their D doesn't look like a D that can handle our offense. Matt Ryan is a savvy veteran, but seems to have lost several steps since his Super Bowl defeat. They do have Julio Jones and Todd Gurley. It will be a tough matchup. However, we are home for that game, and I think our D can handle that offense. I am not too worried about their D. The Seahawks, however, are going to be a tough matchup for us. They are hard to beat in Seattle, and Russell Wilson has a variety of ways to hurt you, as well as being a savvy vet.
Ultimately, I think we'll probably be 2-1 after 3 games. I think it is highly unlikely we start 0-3. I think we will be better coached than people will be expecting.
So you are content with just being told about what's what with the Cowboys? You don't need to see with your own eyes how they are doing things, where they have impoved? I can't do that. I see no reason to be that secretive. So I just think the worst.I'm honestly curious to wonder why you think that. I think very differently. It has been crazy for surebecause of this bat crap crazy offseason.
True but not every team is dealing with a new coaching staff and installing completely new schemes on offense and defense. It's just way too chaotic to think that mixed with this COVID shutdown and restart can result in anything good. They don't need to be this secretive with training camp so I just think the worst. It has been crazy for sure
We’ve missed valuable time to see guys in game situations
But so has every team
We are putting in new systems in all 3 phases of the game
The screwed up off season has certainly made that very challenging
I see that Kreskin the Magnificent is back.
What did Dak do against them last season....... remind everybody what the score was0 and 3 is a bit pessimistic. But i do think 1-2 is not a far stretch.
The rams are a good team. Especially on defense were Dak struggles against. As it is with the seahawks and the falcons also.
The most likley win is against the falcons. But probability overall says 1-2 for me.
At least he didn't say, on me....lol
I think the secrecy is actually pretty smartTrue but not every team is dealing with a new coaching staff and installing completely new schemes on offense and defense. Everyone and I mean pretty much everyone is forgetting our woes against good defenses.Come at me with your best debate about why I'm wrong so I can laugh at you after game 3. Bring it!
