And, again, you're bringing up players who actually reached free agency. Scandrick was too busy rushing to the Cowboys for more money to ever have the patience to reach it himself.
He wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants money now and later. I don't want to hear from him or his agent about his contract for 5 years. If they do, I hope Stephen Jones fines and/or suspends him. The Cowboys have repeatedly been more than reasonable in dealing with him.
Markets move in both ways (rbs, carr, etc). clubs ultimately hold 95% of all leverage. I can't get too worked up if a player asks for a raise and gets it. Wouldnt get too worked up if the club denies the request either.
Asking for a raise should not be vilified, the requestor has no power to grant
