Gordon Keith should do a fake Jerry Bachelor bit where Jerry goes around the various unemployed guards and or corpses and asks them "will you accept this rose?"
once again trying to make an excuse for doing nothing on the O line.
I dunno... last time I looked you've got a new 1st round draft pick added to the offensive line plus a brand new starter at LG.
I never knew a 40% change over = nothing.
Whoda thunk?

LOL....sometimes all you can do is laugh when reading those type of posts. Dallas have addressed the O-line significantly. Its just some of the moves haven't worked out.
I will say albeit still too early too tell, my fears about the O-line has decreased with the emergence of Fredrick and Leary and the improved play of Free. Having said that getting Waters would be huge.
well you certainly did not. You would have been happy with 5 jags again and again.
until it works it means NOTHING.
I didn't know Smith was a JAG or Frederick... Leary seems like a potentially good JAG too if that's your criteria.

No offense, but you are making absolutely no sense. A week or so ago, you were lauding the progress of our line. Now, in a thread about the possibility of signing a vet linemen, you are resorting back to your old illogical ways, referring to our linemen as "jags." You really need to decide your position man.
no you need to learn to think. We were forced to make do with JAGS for years. Smith was the first time Jerruh actually seemed to understand the need to use high picks on the O line. And luckily - and frankly I think it is LUCK- we did it again. When you spend $50 million and a first rd pick on CBs and then go dumpster diving for O linemen as we did last year it makes you wonder if Jerruh really gets it. Now do you 'get it'?

BTW....can some1 sort this out for me. Can we carry cap space from this year to next year? I ask cause I know a lot of people say it shouldn't matter to us if JJ has to overpay for Waters but if we can carry over free cap space to next year, a year where we are up against the cap, shouldn't it matter that we get Waters on a relatively good deal and not over pay for him and use up potential cap space that we can carry to next year?
I am excited about the opportunity to sign a capable player at guard but I have no illusions that he is a magic elixir for an otherwise questionable offensive line.
For a year he could be the answer we need, and I think most would say that it's not an otherwise questionable offensive line. The questionable position here is the right guard.
He doesn't have to be great, he just needs to be competent.
With Romo and the rest of our skill players, all we need is an average-good offensive line and we'll be much more consistent.
Huge upgrade over our interior line last year.
