no, your criteria was DO NOTHING. IT DOES NOT MATTER. Fortunately it seems red ball convinced Jerruh to actually USE TOP PICKS on O line. YOU would have been happy with the constant stream of failures continuing.

That was not Garrett's pick (Fred) IMO. I think it's pretty clear if you watch the tape of the draft room.

I'll give you this, it took JJ too long to address the O-line before we drafted Smith. However, the O-line was pretty darn excellent until the 2010 year. But drafting 2 O-linemen in the 1st rd over 3 years is significant.

LMAO... talk about revisionist history. Those OLs that got obliterated by Philadelphia, Minnesota, and NY in December/January were nowhere near excellent,,, less than serviceable would be more accurate and then it went downhill from there.

Can't say I agree with this assesment. Yes, JG did not seem to approve of the trade, but he seemed happy with the Frederick pick. Maybe JG thought we should have picked a linemen at 18 instead of risking a move back. It's just speculation.

I did not see that in his reaction. I saw just the opposite but I can agree that it's speculation. It is speculation, as is the statement the "Red Ball convinced Jerry to use top picks on OLs". It's all pretty much speculation at this point.

Did it not show up in the Min game, no and that was probably a sign the O-line was long in the tooth and needed re-tooling and JJ took too long to start changes.

But during the Romo era up til that MIN gm in the playoffs for the most part the O-line allowed Dallas to run their entire offense and also helped a very effective running game.

Marion Barber and the threat of a power running game made those o-lines look A LOT better than they really were.. No coincidence that Barber and the o-line hit the wall at pretty much the same time.

Marion Barber (love that man) was a glorified short yardage back. He really had no elusiveness nor speed. He need holes to operate. That O-line made barber much better than he actually was.

oh, so the previous year when they got jacked up by NYG and the year before that when they got jacked up by Philly were just bad dreams?

Well if I remember correctly that Philly game they gave up 44 points including 24 points in the 2nd qtr. Any time your down like that, the D-line will always have the advantage against the O-line there.

The defense was much more at fault there.

And in that NYG game, it was more mistakes and dropped passes. Romo was sacked twice (hardly dominated). Dallas ran the ball effectively with Barber running for 129 yrds and a td.

And keep in mind that NYG D-Line dominated every1 including Brady who is like the least sacked qb of his generation.

Nope, Romo was jacked up, roughed, forced to pass early, and the OL was caught holding left and right because they couldn't stop the Giants pass rush. Meanwhile what about the other years and the Cowboys inglorious exits from the season? You're all wet dude, the team hasn't had an "excellent" OL since the mid-90s.

I did a quick looksy in tht NYG game and saw 3 false starts (2- columbo, 1-Adams) and 1 holding penalty (on WR Sam Hurd).

And again, we were talking about one of the best D-Lines in NFL.

The only reason I'm wet is from all the slobber from your mouth as u spew all ur false accusations.

when someone again and again says nothing more is needed - and the line stinks- then he is a DO NOTHING.

(old political party that quickly faded away) BUT appropriate for you

I'm sure you have many links to back up your "story".

Maybe you should start every post with...

It's ridiculous, isn't it?

We haven't had a good OL here since we were winning Super Bowls.
