Sadly neither the Eagles secondary or passing game were strengths. Consider me cautious about this hire.

Man this guy is very inexperienced. I don't mind the move but it does seem like a pretty big risk.
Any of the other candidates would have been a safer choice.
Hope he works out.

Safer choices have gotten us what? It’s time to try something new. These younger coaches around the league are having success. Old retreads have not worked. If he doesn’t work out then we’re no worse off than we were. So let’s see what this guy can do. He’s gotten lots of praise for his work so far.

We hired a proven guy last time with experience and head coaching experience and he had the worst defense in the league. I don’t mind the new and up comer personally

Everyone has opinions and I know everyone won't get what they want. Having said that, we have to wait and see how things turn out and from the outside, it's not individuals we or I know, someone who is young, and someone outside of the norm for JJ. Those other guys probably weren't interested or who knows the situation, so I'm cool with it for now.

Nobody here was involved with the hiring process. Just because your pet cat coach wasn't hired, doesn't make the decision wrong. I'm optimistic because this doesn't have a Jerry hire smell. Lets wait and see the results.

The results will be what they always are because Jerry is still GM and the face of the franchise. Little details may change from season to season, but the end results never change.

That being said, I like this hire better than if it was Gannon, but it makes no real difference until Jerry is gone.

Glad jerry closed this deal and he must have outbid Green Bay money wise , which is refreshing for jerry as a classic bean counter who does not believe coahces should be paid much with all the talent he is providing them LOL

Simple task…..fix an absolute garbage defense with rookie late rounders and UDFA because the FO isn’t talented or willing enough to find the money to field a team that can compete for a championship.
