You would think he could have broken off one decent run with the Giants pretty much giving up.
I dont have the game recorded - did he have have some huge running lanes that he missed or was the o-line basically overwhelmed?

And yes, I agree he needs to make some plays to get more reps but, a 1.3 and 5.3 avg on a total of 9 carries isn't telling us much.

Wait, so pollard had the exact "stupid amount of carries to pound out tough yards against an elite nasty run defense” game that people said he couldn’t have, and those same ppl complain? Tough crowd

There wasn’t much room, but can’t keep using that as an excuse. It appears to me he’s going to need some pretty huge holes to make plays in the running game. Most of his college highlights consisted of him running through gaping holes. I think he could be most effective in the passing game out in space. By the way, he’s had 2.7 yards on 9 carries.

You would think he could have broken off one decent run with the Giants pretty much giving up. Granted it’s been a small sample, but for his opportunities to increase he has to make some plays. The reason Pollard is in the position he’s in is because every few carries he would break off a run. Practically every opportunity he got to get a few carries, he would bust one. If Vaughn gets 6 carries and goes nowhere on 5 of them, but pops one for 50 yards and a score that will give the Cowboys incentive to give him more opportunities. Zeke fell out of favor with the fans because he wasn’t making big plays.
Didn't Vaughn make 2 1st downs in the 1st half against the Jets?

2 weeks ago we were seeing posts saying Vaughn could be an All Time Great RB.... which was even more ludicrous than proclaiming him the next Sproles.

Now after 2 games people are souring on him.
Good grief. It's like people have ADHD in here.... MUST PROCLAIM WHO BEST TEAM IS NOW (2 weeks into season)...MUST PROCLAIM VAUGHN THE NEXT SPROLES OR FUTURE HOF''er (after a couple preseason games....MUST PRONOUNCE THE TEAM ISNT HAPPY WITH HIM AND HE ISNT LOOKING GOOD (after 2 reg season games).

Relax.

Takes 5 to 7 games to find out who the truly good teams are every year. Takes 2 years before you truly find out whether a player is good (permanently good) or bad (bust).

Vaughn just needs time.

He isn’t trash. His QB is a fella named Desmond Ridder and Pitts lead them in receiving week 1 with 44 receiving yards, that kind of tells you what you need to know about his situation.
Ridder actually looked really good yesterday. Was first time I've really watched him. I was surprised

so theres zero reason to try and improve the roster, got it
Good, glad you understand.
Honeslty, how much would the Cardinals want for James Conner. I feel like he'd be a great fit in this new offense. I feel like Pollard was truly special when he was going in every other drive. He just doesn't seem like a cowbell RB. Gallup for Conners. Who says no.

I didn’t keep track they weren’t eventful. However, I’m sure they excited you. Lol

I would trade for a TE Pitts. The Falcons looks like they just aren't going to use him. Or is he trash?
That my friend is a true mystery.
Is it the Falcons are being too conservative with Pitts, a player they invested such a high pick on just doesn't make any since.
Are the Falcons so lame that they are wasting this talent or did they discover something about him that makes them so apprehensive in utilizing his supposed true skillset.

On 105.3 the FAN right now .

They aren’t overly impressed with Dowdle & Vaughn.

Vaughn was used to early in the game according to Broaddus.
They all look ok but pollard lacking that zeke ability to fall forward and turn a 2 into a 5er

Yes obviously we need him out in space or stretch plays - dont want to pound him inside all day long - he's not that kind of back.

So when you put him in to kill the clock at the end of a game against a stacked box, can't be too surprised when he has a crap avg.

On the last point -
I gave the avg of each of the 2 games - my bad.
