I'll tell ya, that Jeff Ireland is one sneaky bastid. :)

And I LIKE it...

Sorry, I was having a Dana Carvey, "Grumpy Old Man" moment...

Sure do hope CBZ is gettin' royalties from Carvey on that one... I'm pretty sure in one bit, I heard him say "you young'uns get out of my yard"...

Never did hear the GOM express himself on the subject of pea salad, though...

:lmao2:

Good signing..didn't break the bank...brought in a short term solution while Petitti learns the ropes....
I couldn't agree more Juke. Purrrrrrfect signing!!!

I love it. I love the experience and the competition. He's another very solid player who didn't break the bank.

Has the panic subsided yet? I mean, wasn't everyone on vacation so that nothing could get done?

Cowboys ink Fabini to address O-line woes
The Cowboys made a second move to improve their offensive line by reaching a three-year, $6 million deal with former Jets left tackle Jason Fabini. Clauses in the contract could grow the deal to $7.5 million over the three years.

Fabini will be moved to right tackle with the Cowboys and fix one of the team's biggest problems last season. The Cowboys had right tackle problems starting in beginning of training camp. They ended up trying Torrin Tucker in the pre-season at right tackle and then went with rookie Rob Petitti for the regular season.

Fabini, a salary cap cut for the Jets, visited the Patriots and was in heavy negotiations with the Bucs but decided to go to the Cowboys. Earlier this week, Dallas added Kyle Kozier, who is expected to help out at guard, to a five-year, $15 million deal.

Awesome news to be sure this solidifies the line now we can draft a few pups to bring along. :)

I like it. Hopefully he can start while Pettiti learns the position.

If you think Pettiti will ever be more than a backup you're kidding yourself pal. Not agile or athletic enough for the position better served as a guard probably.

I hope some folks that were SCREAMING for immediate FA action by the Cowboys have noticed how quickly the dollars have come down in the market.

Bargains are now to be had and we're in perfect shape to take advantage.

That's the way you build a football team there you pikers!

In the immortal words of my friend Juke: "On the nosey!"

However, though Fabini is OK, I would have prefered the much younger Ashworth.

I don't have a problem Ashworth. But I like the dollars we gave Fabini-- a lot!
