At this point, a fence post is better than Dak if your ultimate goal is reaching a SB. He is what he’s always been going back to HS. Never won anything and never will.

I’m not opposed to drafting a QB early in round one. But that’s not a guarantee of anything. I’m ready to do that. But I’m not just assuming that’s all we have to do and it’s peaches and cream.
Of course not but it’s the best option we have. Nothing is guaranteed

This is why I'm not sure many fans realize we will more than likely struggle with a couple of years ( or more) than not.

We do Realize, but we do not care . Having Chokata as our QB has been a struggle the past 8 years . Do we need to repeat who the WORST QB in NFL Playoff history is ??

Hint ... Its CHOKOTA !!

Trey Lance in 2025, Archie Manning in 2026
Die-hard Longhorn fan here. Manning ain't happening unless we have a top pick, which we likely won't. I think he goes #1 overall eventually. Better chance they take a swing on Quinn Ewers with next year's FRP than getting Arch in 2025 (I think neither happen, for the record).

I could also see Jerry becoming enamored with Shadeur Sanders in next year's draft unfortunately. Jerry would probably love to have Deion's bloodlines in Dallas again. I would absolutely hate the pick personally, but I could definitely see it happening.

Yes, please tell me the plans since you all think Dak is trash and that we are magically going to find his replacement. Please tell us

Just keep shaking the 8 ball and hit on a QB, at least we can build up the rest of the team without paying Dak so much money.

yeah, that's dumb. An no we are not building up the team because windows are short. Parsons and Lamb will want out of Dallas ASAP. Top 10 QB's who are MVP candidates do not grow on trees. Despite the playoff failures, Dak will be getting a record contract and the Cowboys will get stuck with a Daniel Jones type.

I agree but we have to appreciate the playoffs have been our floor for the last three years. That could be in jeopardy, I'm not sure some fans are ready. I'm not saying it's a reason to keep Dak and pay him $60M......but ....
I'd be ready for a 5 win season or two. This team needs another 1988 for a true rebuild. And it's absolute nonsense that we'd be facing 10 to 15 years of missing the play offs like some Daksters want us to believe. Nobody knows what the future brings and at least it'd get exciting again with a young guy to cheer for.

With Dak we're just extending the play off success draught. Without him we'd face a couple of rough years, yes. But that's what a rebuild is all about. Start from scratch.

Heck I'd try a season with Lance and Cooper. If they suck we get a high draft pick for a new QB next year. And the new o line has time to get in shape.

If they do what Dak does, making the playoffs (maybe with a couple of regular season wins less) and then crash early in the play offs... no one got hurt.

And if TL surprises everyone... well that's a win.

So honestly, what do we have to lose? Another meaningless 12 win season? LoL, there's worse...

Nothing dumb about a rebuild, Our window has passed. How sure are you Parsons and Lamb want out? Dak can go sign elsewhere and no one would care besides some here.

1. If we make the playoffs and somehow go far finally, Dak's price soars through the roof
2. Replacing a franchise QB has been done before, I don't get the thinking that we can't find another QB to come in and throw for this team. Will it take time, learning etc, YES no duh!
#2. Does not apply to Dak

We could be like Washington and take forever to find another QB. That’s how hard it is

Lance, sign a vet, draft his replacement? Whatever option you choose, I think all can agree getting into the playoffs could be a struggle for the next year or two...that's the trade-off.

I keep telling people...just watch Jerry, if DAK and MM dont go deep in the playoffs and they both will be gone.....Jerry will cut a deal with Prime Time and his son to be the next big thing in Dallas.....watch....it's a serious home run for Jerry....maybe not a championship but a home run in business. Fans will be excited again....and business will boom.

2025 HC - Prime Time
QB - Sheduer Sanders
WR- CD Lamb
DE/LB Micha Parsons

Sent packing DAK Prescot and Mike McCarthy

Year or 2? That’s only if they hit it big drafting a QB. Chances are even he’s a bust so we could see the Cowboys struggle for years like we’ve seen with so many team drafting QB’s.

Such a negative outlook. They might draft the next franchise QB-look on the bright side of things.
