I keep telling people...just watch Jerry, if DAK and MM dont go deep in the playoffs and they both will be gone.....Jerry will cut a deal with Prime Time and his son to be the next big thing in Dallas.....watch....it's a serious home run for Jerry....maybe not a championship but a home run in business. Fans will be excited again....and business will boom.

2025 HC - Prime Time
QB - Sheduer Sanders
WR- CD Lamb
DE/LB Micha Parsons

Sent packing DAK Prescot and Mike McCarthy
How do they acquire Sheduer?

You’re assuming you’re going to be in position to draft a Burrow, Stroud and Allen? Two of them were top 5 picks and Allen went number 7 overall. Fans in Buffalo are frustrated with Allen. He’s had turnover issues and hasn’t been able to get the Bills over the hump. Burrow has had injury issues and when the SB was on the line a couple of years ago he couldn’t get it done. Stroud had a great rookie season but had a bad game in the divisional round. This fan base wouldn’t be happy with any QB.

We all hated Troy Aikman when he was winning Super Bowls.

Going to have to tank 2025 to get a chance at Arch Manning although Archie Manning at 74 years old might be a good choice. Just don't see Cowboys tanking any year.
I don’t think Lance will be very good. Could get a top 10 pick by just replacing Dak with Lance. Then u trade up

Die-hard Longhorn fan here. Manning ain't happening unless we have a top pick, which we likely won't. I think he goes #1 overall eventually. Better chance they take a swing on Quinn Ewers with next year's FRP than getting Arch in 2025 (I think neither happen, for the record).
I think replacing Dak with Lance gets us in the top 10, then u trade up.

Would cost a king's ransom to trade up to #1. And that's assuming whatever team is there doesn't need a QB, which is unlikely. Just feels like too many things have to go right in order for that to happen. Think they're most likely to take someone in next year's class if Dak doesn't re-sign than to hope all the chips fall perfectly for them in 2026 tbh. Time will tell.

We'll see lots of Trey Lance in TC and in the preseason. I expect him to look really good. If a starting QB goes down elsewhere, Dallas trades Lance for some picks.

If Dallas retains Lance, Dak walks and MM starts Lance in the WCO where he will shine, throwing mostly to TEs and RBs.

- First have to secure the HC role first ... will McCarthy be here in '25?
who takes the new QB under his wings ?

- 2nd .. who/what quality QB is available if Dak departs ...

- 3rd what will be the asking price for that QB ..per FA, draft or trade ?

- Will trey Lance a likely FA, go to highest bidder post season ? , what would be his value in FA, if he does not even
play in '24 ?

- Do we make a bid on Lance per FA ?
- if not lance, or the available vets below:
-Russell Wilson
- Justin Fields
- Mac Jones,
- Jamemis Winston
- Jimmy Grapp

if we do another 12 win season .. we're not in position to get a top very well regarded QB prospect at top of the draft hill - we'd need a tank season
Imo, August month will tell the big tale .. so don't let go a 2nd runner up in MVP voting

Face it , Only true thang to do .........

Kiss Deion’s butt. Deion has said he has a short list of teams he wants his son to play for. He insinuated Dallas as one of them so maybe Jerry doesn’t have to kiss his butt. Maybe all the years Jerry was kissing Deion’s butt did the job.

Personally I would love Deion as HC and Shadeur as the QB. That would be a nice story line and I think Deion is the real deal at HC and his son is the real deal at QB.

I think overall this topic needs to be changed to “Now that Aikman is gone how do the Cowboys replace him”. The argument that we’ll be in QB hell once Dak leaves is weak. I read a lot of arguments of “remember what happened when Aikman left and before Romo”. Well let’s look at this. In 2003 Carter and the Dallas Cowboys went to the playoffs and lost in the WC. In 2023 Prescott went to the playoffs and lost in the WC.

Quincy Carter Era: 3 years, one playoff run, loss in the WC

Tony Romo Era: 14 years, 6 playoff seasons, 2-4 playoff record. 2 WC wins

Dak Prescott Era: 8 years, 7 playoff seasons, 2-5 playoff record. 2 WC wins

So the dreaded Quincy Carter years that is referred to quite often is what we’re living in except all of us let Jerry gaslight us into thinking we’re better now.

IMO we are still in the post Aikman era and Dak is the latest QB that hasn’t clicked with the Cowboys. It’s not what do we do if Dak leaves, the real discussion is how Jerry has never rebuilt the team post Aikman.

Lance, sign a vet, draft his replacement? Whatever option you choose, I think all can agree getting into the playoffs could be a struggle for the next year or two...that's the trade-off.

Franchise tag Trey Lance and don't skip a beat with football operation. Dak isn't that important to the Cowboys future operation beyond 2024.
