Cowherd: "It's ridiculous to expect Dak to get over the hump, as it would be for Kirk Cousins."

When talent is lacking you sell leadership, goodwill(Walter would be proud), and the nice guy gig to the tilt.
Can't sell his skills or accomplishments are there are few to zero.
Just follow the money......and Dak and Todd would sell there mama for another massive underserving contract.
Holy Cow I just pointed to the sky......I wonder why?????
This is BS....you know perfectly why he does that. But you Dak haters try to make it into some pathetic meaningless celebration.

One of your more disrespectful and hateful posts with the mama comment.

@jazzcat22 - I understand that his mother passed and I can certainly understand why he pointed to the sky early on. But it does feel like that has become a "branding" move as time has gone on. Does it feel that way to anyone else? Honest question.

I guess I go by the biblical rule that you don't do things that are meant to honor someone to draw attention to yourself. Seems like he could have his moment with her in a less public way now.

PS - both of my parents have passed so I'm familiar with what he has gone thru.

Some people out of respect for their lost loved ones keep those moments and feelings private.
Others choose to wear it on their sleeve and gain sympathy in order to compensate for other inadequacies in their life or job.
I respect the first group and have 0 respect for the 2nd.

So you know what Dak's feelings are and assume he is in category 2, because you don't like him.

It has nothing to do with his football skills, but yet you and others feel it is needed to put him down to fit your agenda.

Both my parents are passed as well. But you never stop honoring them.
So what players give respect on the field. Why does that bother so many people.

Actually, to me Dak just has to have good coaches around him. He had to play under Garrett for 4 years, does anybody here think Garrett was a great coach? And that was in Dak's formative years, when he should have been molded and coached into a top qb. Then McCarthy came along, a head coach who only managed only one SB win with Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback, who is widely regarded as one of, if not then top qb, for all of McCarthy's tenure in GB as the head coach, does anybody here think Mike is a great coach, one that can develop young quarterbacks?

A lot of Dak's problems could be lack of proper coaching, maybe not, but just making mention of it...
Not really sure about the coaching but I think some bad decision making on Dak's part has him in trouble with some of the fanbase. Not me, I like Dak.

I do not for the life of me get how y’all put up with this guy. He hates Dak. Fine. But he’s resorting to lying in order to make Dak out to be some evil marketer and promoter because he talks about his mom. A young man who lost his mother in his early 20’s. A self appointed mamas boy and you can’t relate? Who hurt you?

How does pointing to the sky draw attention to himself? This is insane. So now we are resorting to how he chooses to honor his late mother? This one is odd…..

Its not really odd when you see who is doing it, says way more about thier Character than it does Dak's, My father passed right in the middle of the hardest time in my life, even while very ill he continued to worry more about me than him, I will honor him as i see fit and really dont care what anyone thinks of it. This really just shows the posters class or lack there of.

I mean I get it they dislike the guy. But this type of hatred is saved for someone who hurt you. Dak has done nothing to these people. They attack his character but not the guy who signed him lol…..

What am I missing? It’s a brand?
He has become "synonymous" for pointing to the sky. On a pregame\halftime show there was a segment about him and the clips leading up to the interview & the opening part of the interview was about his pointing to the sky. As a tribute to his mother, it seemed odd that was the centerpiece of the segment when she has been gone since 2013. It just felt "scripted". Seems like after a period of time he would decline to speak about it in settings like that and just say it's a private \ personal issue.

Now, I will also say that they may have touched on it also becoming a tribute to his brother which being more recent I could understand. I don't remember that per se but I could have been doing something else and not paying attention to the entire segment.

Dak is a great PR man wish he had the same qualities as a QB.
Oh well can't have it all in life can you now.....
Dak and his family have ZERO concern for me as a Cowboy fan(Keywords COWBOY FAN) all I want from my QB is to WIN WIN WIN WIN.
Last time I checked this is a NFL football teams forum?
Did I miss the Priest/Minister or Rabbi?
Nah, don't think so......

Oh? Think Stephen A. Smith wants to be laughge at?

Because he said Dak was a top FIVE quarterback.

Nobody laughs at a quarterback being rated at a particular spot as compared to other quarterbacks except so called "fans" who no. 1 probably aren't really Cowboys fans and no. 2 any quarterback who is a starter in the NFL and wins more games than they lose is a darned good quarterback and deserves at least some respect.

There are dozens and dozens of starting college quarterbacks that are available to play in the NFL every year, but only 32 are granted starter status. They are the "cream of the crop", and to state one of them "sux" is about as dumb a statement as you can make....
I'm a fan of the Cowboys and don't have to seek approval of those trying to deal out 'real glory' as a personal possession. I support my chosen team and the fans actually rooting shoulder to shoulder with me.
