And PC has beaten out many more in fair battles...he is not a freaking 'fringe player, Nors. He is a second year receiver who is making phenomenally fast progress.

Done deal, yeah.
You were just as passionate on Henson this time last year......

Bledsoe added and Romo lapping Dhen,

Carefull on your Crayton lovefest - the fact that we are actively talking to Price speaks volumes..... for those keeping score.

PC is another unproven WR - I LIKE HIM PERSONALLY.........

But we are bringing Price in speaks volumes..... Just like signing Bledsoe.

Time to ramp this team up!
I don't understand why people are so scared of up-grading talent.

I want to win, every Cowboys fan wants to win so let's upgrade when ever we can.

Get this guy in here, let him play wide in the 3 receiver set - and give Glenn the middle of the field to tear up.

Sign him to a 1 year if you can- I'll bet that's what the hold up is.

I don't understand why you're now so ready to turn Patrick into the next "Als" or Greg Ellis.

This kid pulled himself up by his bootstraps as a low round pick and beat out his competiton to WIN that third job. Morgan, Smith, Ward, Copper, Williams, Merritt, Rector, Harrell, and anyone else who has been on the practice field trying to shine these past few years.

Not only that, in the three preseason games this summer, he has looked better than BOTH Terry and Key.

You make so much of Tony Romo's 'underdog' status but are so quick to dismiss the much more impressive efforts of a kid who came here after Romo did and who didn't really have a position. He did MORE in LESS time than TR did, Nors.

And if Tony has looked good, Patrick has looked GREAT.

While you continually crow over Tony's beating out Henson, you completely overlook what PC has done, only to say now let him 'compete'.

Well he has competed, and won out, and he will compete again and win out again.

But of course, Price has the 'pedigree', so Patrick's non grata.

This is what it's about, groundwork if you will.

Sure, keeping score is what you do best, Nors.

I'm still passionate on Henson, but it doesn't make me wanna run Tony down, not one little bit.

So maybe while you're propping Underachiver Hate Y'all Price up on the Save Bledsoe pedestal, you can keep in mind some of us don't wanna hear Patrick run down either.

Careful on YOUR Price lovefest.............. there is no 'done deal ' yet, and you may find yourself relying on PC to win a few more games this season like he did in Washington last December.

Inproven, 'fringe' that he is.

Bringing Price in wouldn't mean anything but improving the overall depth and talent of the TEAM and NOT that the coaches have no confidence in Clayton.

I see you could not rattle off Martay Jenkins NFL resume off the top of your head. Mr Football? What was his career?

Another vagabond scrub that runs through here "as prospect" Wide receiver......
I can.
MarTay Jenkins was a late round small school WR who we wanted to practice squad but Arizona stole him. He returned kicks and made it as high as 3rd Wr before they started drafting a 1st round WR every year, lol.

Was a decent player for a late round pick but nothing more than ST spare part overall.

Peerless to Dallas - NAILED that = thanks for noting that.

And we get him for free? Cool!

Huge day for Dallas when we score Price!

The fact still remains that at this point in their careers Price is no more proven as a #1 receiver than Crayton. We are loaded with #2 WRs, and based on what Houston did to us, we need all the help we can get on special teams.

How are we loaded with number 2's?

Keyshawn has never been a number 2 WR. Patrick Crayton has never been a number 2 and Terry Glenn is a smallish guy that isn't built to take every down beatings. I think exactly what we need is a number 2 WR.

KJ, Price, Glenn, Crayton.

You play all 4 a solid amount of snaps and mix in more 3 Wr sets because we would have the talent to go that route. A 3 WR set with Witten and Julius gets a seriously dangerous offense on the field.

Like a Tony Romo type? Is that what a fringe talent is?
I think its 3rd QBs who are fringe. 2nd stringers are usually pretty safe.

Past few years, neither has Price.

Dude just stop with the nonsense. Price failed in ATL as a huge money guy they traded a #1 pick for but his 55 passes per year would have been good for a 3rd WR on any team in the NFL.

Who said Price was # 1 Blind? He has caught 95, 1250, 9 TD to prove he's a player in this league. He's a serious qualty upgrade to our weak depth at WR. Parcells and Ireland agree with me! He's a great #2 or #3.

Crayton, Copper, Crowder - fringe guys.....

Crayton is not a fringe guy. Not with his hands. The other two will bounce around the league but Crayton isn't getting cut whether we draft 5 WRs or not.

Your overall point is accruate tho and I do think Price comes in ahead of crayton ont he depth chart but having 4 guys who can actually play the position helps.

I WANT PRICE. What I'm pointing out is Price had 1 big year, Crayton hasn't had his shot....so why knock PC and call him a fringe player?

My point was that Crayton is as much a Fringe player as Romo is.....Crayton is backing up a position....just like Romo. Lets not turn this into a QB thread.

I disagree completely.

Key and Glenn were #1 WRs when they started neither is any longer.

Price, like Morgan were #2 guys with the desire to be the guy, without the skills or mental toughness to pull it off.

Crayton looks like he could become a very solid, if not spectacular WR, again a #2.

You are thinking how we have them on our depth chart, I'm not.

Harrison, Holt, Moss and Owens are #1 WR, who on our roster is anywhere near that class? All of our guys are better suited to be second bananas.

Well said, Herms... Anyone who can't see that Crayton has elevated himself above the likes of Copper and Crowder hasn't been paying attention.

I always thought Nors was a huge Parcells proponent, but for some reason he doesn't get that 1) it doesn't matter where you were drafted once you get here, nor that 2) WRs down the depth chart are kept for special teams, NOT for how they play WR.

But I guess you have to build up a player you once advocated trading Greg Ellis for when that player can now be had for nothing. ;)
