I also voted no but he sure looked good tonight. I hope he can continue to get better. great touch throws to Bryant. it is great to see dez looking like dez again.
Its 1 preaseon game, but great start. Love some of the passes he put up for Dez, not many WRs would make those catches. Still dont know about his deep ball, but made some great decisions with check downs, made some tight intermediate throws, and put nice touch on his throws.
It is just 1st pre season game but Dak looked great out there. Some people around here need to give players a chance before making statement. I know for some they get their rocks off slamming this team and player so I expect little from them
I know it is preseason but he convinced me tonight. The kid was amazing. He had poise, accuracy, he stepped up in the pocket,.... He showed EVERYTHING you would want in a QB. The one thing he did not show was his running ability which shows even more poise because you expect a young QB to run. We all know he has the ability to run the ball but only did it one time tonight when a play broke down. I am not sure how this translates to the regular season but I am excited.
Kid showed me that he can transition from spread to pro .....is it a done process, no, but like the Raiders young Qb some can a lot faster than others. Credit front office for not panicking and showing the patience to see what they got and see in practice..
Biggest remaining concerns are reserve OLine and pass rush.
At least for a week, I think the front office and team feel a little better about backup QB.
I know NFL history is full of QBs lighting it up in preseason but never really making it in the real league, and that there is often no game planning, but come on, those were great throws and soliid field presence.
10 of 12, 2 TDs, 0 ints 6 different receivers, looks like he improved his accuracy.
I don't think you can make a accurate prediction of his career based on one game, but this is about as encouraging as a sign as you can get. I'm excited about him but as they say, "don't put him in Canton yet".
I loved his performance tonight, but it's way to early to be anointing him the QB of the future. I remember guys like Clint Longley, Steve Pelluer and Reggie Collier showing a lot of promise. We've also seen Romo come out of nowhere to be great. The most I'll say is that it's possible Dak could be the guy of the future. We're just a long way from the point when we can make that determination. It would be great if he turns out to be the guy; it's what my heart wants. But my football smarts tell me to keep my expectations in check.
