Current Enthusiasm Level?

I think Shotty is going to remind everyone why he would not have sniffed another HC job.

I think the poor DTs will really hurt.

I think the Pickens, Bland, and Parsons contract situations will become distractions.

I think Guyton is going to be terrible so the tackle situation will be bad.

I think the schedule is pretty tough.

I think Diggs is going to be a big distraction.

I think the NFCE is no longer easy.

I think the Jones way is fully exposed now and it’s going to get worse.
And i will be watching all of it to bask in the futility and frustration of the architect. His emotional yammering is all I have left for true entertainment.

I find it highly ironic that the length of Dak's contract coincides with Jerry's life expectancy. And when he is 6 feet under, that is when the real fun will begin. Stephen is gonna be roasted and publicly buried.

Then this Organization will give me something to smile about with true enthusiasm . . . like in the nineties

After MM's 2nd year of 12-5 and then a wild card exit it's been the same level of lets see how it goes.

Another year where weaknesses remained weaknesses from the previous year.
30+mil in cap space.
Owner has another media outing with another contract extension dragging into August.
It is so draining and sucks all the enthusiasm out of the season. How can you continually roll over 30 million every year meanwhile you dont give Derrick Henry a call. You dont sure up the DT position.

4/10

Any enthusiasm will come from our draft picks and udfa signings hoping they can take the leap forward. We have some pieces but this is clearly a rebuilding year

Never was enthusiastic about this team for '25. Schotty talks a good game, but we'll have to see. This doesn't look like they'll start hot, so Schotty n Staff should make sure these guys are mentally tough.

I am looking forward to the 2026 draft. But I am losing enthusiasm for that as well. I think this will be a bad year for Dallas again.

What's the over-under for Schottenheimer getting fired?
I think it will take a Saban or Belichick to fire Schotty after only one season.

From snap 1 it's same old same old. Not a starter on the field. Just back ups and also rands just going through the motions of putting things down on tape. A true indicator of "culture change" would have been dak and the boys for at least a qtr. Parsons deal would have been done or at least a trade worked out last season.
I'm afraid they've set us up again for failure. The jones boys have sucked the enjoyment of being a fan right out of me. Win, lose, doesn't matter. I think the one thing that might move the fan meter is the boys dropping to 2nd on the franchise value chart. Maybe a half full stadium.
Let the suckage begin...
The only thing that has been propping the Cowboys up these past 6 years have been all the new immigrants to the state of Texas. They all seem to believe living in Texas requires you to buy a Dak Jersey. Of course they are nubs to American Football but they like rooting for the Home Team and buying Cervezas

As a fan, I only ask one thing….

Either be a championship contender, or be building toward that with a plan.

They are fully entrenched in neither of those.

This team isn’t good enough to have a deep playoff run, but there are too many teams that are in full rebuild mode that Dallas beats up on which keeps them in perpetual mediocrity.

Great list

I am just curious how my die hard Cowboys friends are feeling about the current and longer term prospects of the Cowboys.

1. I am not approaching this year as “this is our year”. It does not seem to be, and it’s shaping up to not be our year this decade.

2. Dak is just good enough to get you to about a .500 team. He’s probably going to win enough to eliminate a good draft pick but not be good enough to press for a SB.

3. Dak’s salary is a huge albatross.

4. Parsons is a fabulous player but let’s be real. He’s not worthy of a QB cap hit. Love the player but trade him for more assets and cap relief.

5. I like Shotty in the longer term. I like him in the short term but he will make mistakes and this team cannot carry him.

6. About the only thing that gives me any hope of a .500 season is the WR corps and Blue and other rookie back.

7. DT still seems deficient.

8. Jerry is going to have to work really hard to get me to eat the cheese this year.

9. About all we have going for us this year is that expectations seem to be pretty low overall.
Disgust and contempt are what I feel. As a fan, you want hope, you want to see linear improvement, and the Cowboys are instead in a perpetual circling-the-drain mode. Yes, it's early to be making any predictions, but right now I'm experiencing nothing but deja vu, no indications yet of improvement, no focus from the front office to fix the DL On a high note, though, I do like big running backs running over the opposition; that makes me smile.

Honestly this is the least excited I have been as an adult...in my 20s I would have been counting down the minutes until kickoff...in my 30s counting down the days....now im just wondering if im going to turn off the eagles game by halftime because they are getting blown out.

I am excited for the new coaching staff and players but realize this is a rebuilding year with an impossible schedule and feel they will be lucky to get to 7 wins.

Also the Jerry and micha saga over the past two weeks has literaly sucked any enthusiasm and energy if had.
Aye, Aye

I think they will do better than most think. I think they will make the playoffs.
They need to win in the early part of the schedule though.
The starters will just be getting up to speed. Success in the beginning of the season is no longer an option in Jerry World

Offense is going to score a lot with ease

If the defense makes a few stops or gets takeaways they will win a few they should not have
With ease you say? Well count me in again. I had not realized how great they are going to be

i feel bad, i am usually a pretty positive poster here but last few weeks ive just been so down on this team and frankly exhausted following it to the point where i have stopped reading things. The excitement and joy are simply gone, just waiting for the shoe to drop now honestly.

I felt bad up until 2020. Now it is just an indifference. I passed up going to the Giants game last year in Jersey. It was raining hard and the tickets were dirt cheap and I took a hard pass
