he is talking about Winston and the Buccs because Winston threw for the most yards and they lost. The 30 INT's might have had something to do with that though.
they surely did. you are -1 in turnovers and you have a 70% chance of losing the game. -2 and its almost 90% and -3 and its about 97%......

Dak Prescott's last 16 starts: 5,411 yards and 34 touchdowns. That is all.

Gotcha on the 'were' part. I read that afterwards. You're second sentence - there's a huge difference in what Aikman got back in 1993 compared to what Dak just got.

There was no cap back in 1993, and salaries had no effect on the team. The 2.5 mil Jerry paid didn't hurt anything but Jerry's wallet. Jerry could have given him 100 mil a season back then and it still wouldn't have caused any harm to the team at all. A lot of jealousy, yes, but it wouldn't have prevented Jerry from putting pieces around him.

Dak's contract, on the other hand, is absolutely going to hurt the team at some point. And I agree, its not just Dak taking owners to the bank, its happening with every other team. But I don't care about the other teams, I don't follow them. I care what stupid contracts do to the team I have followed for nearly 50 years.

You are avoiding the issue. I don't care about your red herrings. Really all they do is discredit your argument about how Aikman being team first because of money and in relation Dak just being greedy.

Aikman took the owners to the bank too.

His contract will get past up quickly, also the cap is about to take a huge jump when the new TV deal is signed.

I wouldn't bother with this. They know these responses as they have read them the other 50 times they have made these arguments. That they make them without even addressing these longstanding rebuttals is all you need to know of their veracity.

It was still a stupid contract to hand out. I don't expect anyone to agree... Once Dak is gone and still hasn't won any hardware for the team, his homers will turn on him and say the contract he was given in 2021 was dumb and how it hurt the team. His homers wanted him signed no matter the cost and they got their wish.

rent free means they are talking about you without your presence. you're trolling hard to get these responses as opposed to having them so stirred up they're still fixated on you when gone.

what you should consider is how it looks to others that you get off to the idea of pissing off people so that they talk about you even when you are gone.
oh leave him be. like I said he is my amusement over the slow period.....child's play as they say. entertainment. once real football starts, he and likes of him, all 3 or 4 of them will be ignored...yeah they will show up after a cowboys loss and gloat and wag their tails.......like a proud poppy..... so just leave him alone....let him be...don't hurt his little ego..he is a very sensitive person and doesn't take criticism very well, it come from his insecurities.

You have another stat to handwave at other than yardage? Like TD ratio, accuracy stats or you just going to insist on this 2019 argument a year later and pretend all the rebuttals and such never happened?

TD % by year Dak vs. Jameis:

Dak Prescott

2016: 5.0%
2017: 4.5%
2018: 4.2%
2019: 5.0%
2020: 4.1%
Career: 4.6%

Jameis Winston

2015: 4.1%
2016: 4.9%
2017: 4.3%
2018: 5.0%
2019: 5.3%
2020: N/A
Career: 4.7%

So when comparing individual seasons, Dak was .1% better in 2016, .2% better in 2017, .8% worse in 2018, and .3% worse in 2019 with 2015 and 2020 being incomparable (Dak wasn't in the league in 2015 and Winston didn't pass in 2020). For their careers, Winston is .1% better than Dak in TD %......

....so does that mean Winston is a better QB than Dak?????

They'll turn on him just like they did Romo when the new flavor of the week comes along.

They're not Cowboys fans, they're fans of the popular player at the time.

And three Super Bowls.

Again, who cares? I am not interested in these moralistic "deserves" arguments. Deserves has nothing to do with free market economics.

He was paining a picture where Aikman was a team first guy while Dak was just greedy and taking top dollar.

The reality is that Aikman hired Leigh Steinberg and did the same thing maximizing his contract.

  1. The Dallas Cowboys' 2020 season fell apart when quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle five games in. The two-time Pro Bowler was leading the NFL with 1,856 passing yards when he suffered the injury, and the offense wasn't the same without him.

Fortunately for Dallas, Prescott appears to be as close to 100 percent as fans could hope for...

  2. With Prescott healthy and weapons like CeeDee Lamb, Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Dalton Schultz on the roster, the Cowboys should have the foundation of an elite offense. Dallas managed to rank 14th in total offense a year ago, and it should field a top-10 unit this season...
  3. A healthy offensive line—La'el Collins, Zack Martin and Tyron Smith all missed significant time in 2020—and additions like first-round linebacker Micah Parsons will help Dallas rebound. However, it's the return of Prescott that gives the Cowboys their best chance of competing in the NFC East.
