Again, I don't care. The cap was imminent as it was being negotiated at that time, implemented for the following year, and that contract did end up causing us problems but that is besides the point.

At the end of the day Aikman was just as interested in making money as Prescott.

Come on fuzzy, it is not besides the point.

When you can spend just so much money in todays NFL market...money talks and bullcrap walks. That doesn't meant that what Dak got paid during these times is wrong, he played his cards and got what he thinks he is worth. That is yet to be seen in four years.

The defense? Nice. If you cannot pay elite players on defense because of the allocation of money for the QB? Don't blame the defense or the offense, or special team because our QB took up a lot of salary for himself. So did Zeke! Stupid JJ, handing out money like it's free. And he did it again.

Maybe his thought are, buy one or two players, maybe three...and let the rest play for free! That's the picture. Well, he rolled the dice on Dak.

I don't care to go back and do the research because 2020 was such a bad year, but I believe you will find that the offense contributed to the 1-3 start as much as the horrid defense did. There were too many 3 and outs, turnovers, etc that kept putting a terrible defense back onto the field. Special teams was just as bad.

It was a team effort of suckage.
It's true that Dak and Zeke were turning the ball over way too much those first few games.
Zeke tightened the issue up and we all know Dak didn't get the chance to.

Hopefully it won't be so much of an issue this year.

That’s a lazy analysis.

It doesn't. You don't care about mine the same way I don't care about yours or his. That's why I don't understand why your buddies wanna link me to it. His opinion does not matter more to me because he posts it on a website lol
but his opinion is more valued than yours...like I said, you or I are nothing but trolls on a message board with limited access to anyone in NFL...he is a sports writer on a legit website and has more insights into things than you are I ever will. you don't have to care about his list. but people will value his way way way more than yours or mine. he has many followers. you have 3. I have none.

Of course. Slow starts and turnovers definitely put us in a hole . But when we give up 38,39 and 49 points while putting up over 30 points we can soundly point more to the defense.

Thats my stance. I wouldn't care if Dak was the #1 ranked QB stat wise for 10 years in a row if they still couldn't make it out of the 1st round of the playoffs.

Dan Marino is sort of in the same ball park. Hall of fame stats, but never won the big one. But what people fail to point out when trying to compare Marino and Dak is that Marino made it to three AFC championship games and one super bowl.
who compared Marino to Dak. that's stupid.

the argument is that Dak gives this team the best chance to succeed. if you don't think him. then who? and why? provide the alternative that's better than dak and logically argue why....you just are posting and arguing without providing a reasonable alternative.....if someone says, we can win with Drew Lock, and can provide sound logical reasoning that it has a better chance than Dak, then I say, dump Dak, trade for Lock....but no one has provided a reasonable argument as to what other better options are available.

That’s a lazy analysis.

Why? Because I won't go back and give you the proof that the offense helped the team to 1-3? There was no point in you telling me that, other than to be a butt.

Especially when you admit 5 posts after mine that the offense didn't help the defense with their slow starts and turnovers.

Fair enough. I see your point there.

These are the same type trolling we had with Romo all of those years. He’s holding back an otherwise championship team from more success. Lol.. right

Like this team is going anywhere without a QB close to their ability. Would we rather have a Mahomes or Rodgers. Of course but that’s not an option.

QB is not our core weakness.

lets not forget of the 4 interceptions. two were at the very end of the game with few seconds left, desperation throws into the end zone with 7 defenders.....throws you otherwise wouldn't make if not for desperation

It never ceases to amaze me how much you haters love to crap on the Cowboys never given them any credit for the positive moves they’ve made recently. It’s just hate, hate and more hate. Very sad .

Of course the offense was part of the 1-3 or 2-3 start. But what was the bigger issue in giving up over 30 points a game? You continue focusing on one aspect and not the bulk.

If you fans truly believe that our QB and offense is the biggest weakness on this team then you’re frikin idiots. Lol
