First of all, Dak has performed better than Bortles the last two year, in basically every measurable way.

Second, their play styles aren’t even similar.

There is no similarity.

This thread is a fail.

So if you think he's a mediocre QB what is this all about? What are you even arguing? One minute you bring up the Jag's success as if that has something to do with Bortles? You know that defense is why they are where they are. But you imply that its because of him and the Cowboys missing out on the playoffs is because of Dak?

What are you even arguing? Do you even know?

And Eli actually helped his team get rings. To compare him to Blake Bortles is even more embarrassing and I don't even like Eli.

Maybe read back through and see what the argument was about? You seem to have forgot the argument.

You're the one who turned this into Bortles being "one of the biggest busts of all time!"

The original argument was if Dak is a better decision maker. I'm saying, it was easy for Dak to be a better decision maker with an elite offensive line in front of him. Now that he didn't have that, he became like Blake Bortles....

I'm not praising Bortles, I'm just telling you what I actually think of Dak. I think, at times, he looked WORSE than Bortles. Mechanically, mentally, and accuracy.

I mean I wish Dak got to play a playoff game where scoring 10 points means you win by a full TD.

Dak is nowhere near as bad as Bortles. Just stop.

Is there some real world similarities to the two of them? Both mobile QB's. Both considered somewhat inaccurate at times and prone to poor decisions. Both considered tough guys for the most part. Jacksonville appears to be looking hard at upgrading the position after handing Bortles the keys for 4 years. Just wondering what other folks think.
Daks numbers were on par with Cam Newton. In my opinion that's not good! Cam is so hit or miss!

And in 4 games this year, Dak couldn't even put up 10 points. So we would have lost those games.

So you are offended that I said Bortles is one of the biggest busts of all time? What's a more suitable way to describe Bortles? He's one of the most underwhelming quarterback of all time? He's not the best but he's not the worst quarterback of all time?

I'm just shocked you complain about Dak's mechanics but think Bortles is a mediocre QB.......

No, I have already mentioned, I am criticizing YOU for using this tactic to exaggerate the success or failure of a player to fit your narrative. I shouldn't have to repeat this haha

Here is an accurate description of Bortles: He's a bust, he's a mediocre to bad QB at times. INSTEAD, you took it from that to "One of the biggest busts of all time"

IF Bortles is a bust, in 10 years, no one is talking about him being a bust because he'd be in a sea of bust QBs. He's not Jamarcus Russel or RGIII (Commanders gave up a lot for him)

That's JUST off the top of my head and only at the QB position. There are multiple other positions we could talk about that are bigger busts.

I take issue with your exaggerations.

I think Bortles is a mediocre to bad QB....which is what I think Dak is.

Okay....let me rephrase my sentence. Blake Bortles is a bust. Not ONE of the biggest of all time. He's just a bust.

RGIII in one season showed better QB play than Bortles could dream of and that includes that 35 TD season.

You are arguing semantics. What does it matter if he's a bust or one of the biggest busts of all time? He's still a bust lol. This is silly.

I just told you the problem, I have caught you doing this in the past. You use exaggerations to prop up players on our team. I think it's lame and cringe homerism.

RGIII wouldn't have been the bust he was if Commanders didn't give up the farm for him.

How was I propping up Dak? Trust, I don't need Blake Bortles to do that lol.

So Jamarcus Russell isn't the bust that he truly could be since the Raiders didn't trade for him lol?

Jamarcus Russell played in 31 games and didn't even finish his rookie contract before out of the league. He was also in an era where he got a massive contract.

....can you stop playing obtuse? Or is this now your low level trolling attempt?

So your bust status not only includes your play on the field.....but also includes how much you were paid and if a team traded for you? I'm trying to understand your flawed logic here?

How is this flawed logic? The reason for a "bust" label is because these players get taken in the first round. It's only reasonable you become a bigger bust based on how much a team gives up for you.

Just picking a player in the top 5 with your original pick is not as bad as giving up multiple first rounders or needing to give a rookie a massive deal that equals veteran-like money or more.

That's why Russell is viewed the way he is, outside of his notoriously bad work ethnic, he wasn't in the league that long and got paid like an elite QB. That's why I said there were bigger busts in that era. There is good reason why they changed that.

The Eagles are in the championship game without Wentz and we want to call dak a system qb. Wentz would look just like Dak this year if not worse if he was drafted here because we'd have used a 1st rounder and wouldn't have zeke.

Comparing dak to bortles is laughable.

So Johnny Manziel had nothing traded for him.....where does he rank in your greatest busts of all time list?

This is dumb. You people just won't stop.

Eagles had one of the most dynamic offenses in the league when Wentz was starting. They scored 20 points or more in every game but one. Since Wentz went down, they scored more than 20 points once and that was against the Giants.

Manziel played in 14 games. I think he's just another Browns bust, a long line of them. I think he will be remembered due to his college hype and off the field issues.

He'll be a more well-known bust than Bortles - at least Bortles finished his rookie contract with a team and played a playoff game. These are more accolades than Manziel ever had.
