I'm sorry, but what? I think Linehan has done a pretty damn good job building this offense for Dak, especially with the dink and dunk stuff. It's not like we are constantly forcing him to look deep.

You guys have some seriously low expectations for a QB.

If the whole offensive falls apart when Zeke goes out, chances are that it's not a well built offense by the coaching staff. All the blame gets put on Dak for not winning without Zeke. And it's still the staff's job to have more than one reliable player on both sides of the ball.

Top QB's can win when one key player goes out. but as I said they have more than one weapon on their offense or at least reliable back ups that can step up when needed.

Dak had a bad game against a division rival. It happens.

What's been consistent about this team for years? Its crappy defense. Year after year we watch receivers run wide open, we watch mediocre QBs have career days...year after year.

What happened in the second half after playing so well in the 2nd quarter? Terrible. The reason the Cowboys are in a hole this year is plain and simple...Defense.

Asking your offense to score OVER 30 points per game is ridiculous.

Dak can't throw out of the pocket its very discouraging. How many throws were short into the dirt or high?

I don't think we win even with those three because 1) the Eagles made adjustments to a defense that stifled them after the opening drive and 2) the Cowboys didn't. It would have been closer, but I have no doubt we would have lost.
Far be it for me to talk you off the ledge. You can jump for all I care.

Maybe it isn't Dak, just like maybe it wasn't Romo.

Can't win with Romo. Can't win with Dak. What QB can Dallas win with?

Dallas can't win with Dak but every year lesser QBs can somehow lead their teams to better records?

Minnesota: 8-2 with backup Case Keenum
Jacksonville: 7-3 with Bortles who's numbers aren't as good as Dak's
Rams: 7-3 with Goff who's numbers are currently a little better than Dak's
Tennessee: 6-4 with Mariotta who has horrible numbers

Why can't Dallas win with Dak when comparable or worse QBs are able to win?

Maybe it isn't the QB.

No, because of their absences, those who were blinded can now see that he isn't good enough to make the throws needed to win big games. Yes, if we have a completely healthy lineup he is certainly good enough to drive the bus, but that won't get you past they best in the game, in my opinion.

Must be so infuriating for guys like Dez and Beasley to be open but routinely get the ball late or so poorly thrown they don't even have a chance to make a play on it.
LOL, jump!

Dallas has been outscored 47-0 in last 2 games after half. That tells me the defense is a sieve and QB can't throw.

Jerry needs to give Dak more offensive weapons besides Zeke. Comparing Dak to Wentz and other QB's when downplaying his talent. But, most of those top QB's have more than one weapon that they can lean on.
 So jump off the ledge and do us all a favor.

Dak was pummeled last week and didn't seem to trust his OL this week. As I said, it happens. Another learning curve for the young QB. Keep in mind he didn't play last season and the first part of this one with a worry about his blindside.

What is inexcusable is the defense. I read it and hear it every offseason about how the Dallas FO seems to refuse upgrading the secondary. Hell, when was the last time we had a decent secondary??

Consistently effective defenses keeps you in most if not all the games which gives even "game managers" a fighting chance to win.

I thought Bell LT played better than I expected. Whats happening is defense are forcing Dak to stay in pocket and make throws and he is failing that test. Its a QB league.

So basically, the theme here is this:

Dak Prescott, a second year passer, has had consecutive bad games while suffering from horrific pass protection, even worse playcalling, a stubborn and/or inept coaching staff, and receivers that can't gain separation.

So the solution is...move on from Dak?

Listen, I'm not blind, and I saw Prescott make a few terrible throws last night. But given the overall circumstances of the past two weeks, hey, it happens.

If we want to get into the business of dumping quarterbacks every time the boat rocks a little, we become the Cleveland Browns. No thanks.

Amen. Some logic and common sense.
