So you want to discuss the differential between very good and great.....when we lose a game with the Offense having to drives and over 4 mins to win it.
I don't want to argue anything. All i'm arguing is that if Dak gives us 3 Touchdowns, no interceptions and 374 yards against a contender in the playoffs I am confident that our defense will show up and we win that game.

Dak isn’t even the best QB in Texas anymore…. 8 years of waiting while the Texans got a real QB and the Cowboys are out here dumbing down the offense for this guy, whose forte is making street-ball plays..

Dak can elevate those around him....just not late on in games vrs a good defense and where he's in need of a TD.
You can ignore the trend or opportion blame, but the recent list is growing... Eagles
SF playoff 1
SF playoff 2.
He's the common factor in all three games.
He elevated those around him against the Eagles. I agree he did not play well against SF but that seems to be a SF issue. He completely dominated the Eagles and elevated everyone around him. Multiple people on the offense had the best game of their career yesterday. That is the very definition of what you are citing. At the end of the day though your standard seems to be for Dak to do things that have never been done in NFL history and somehow win it on his own. The job of a QB is to give the players the best chance to look great. That is the "elevation" you are referring to. He cant do it for them. He cant make Gallup catch the ball but he can put it right on his hands. He cant make Lamb catch it but he can fake the defense with his eyes and time the throw perfectly so instead of a 10 yard gain its a 25 yard gain. That is what he did yesterday. I do not think anyone who knows football would argue against the idea that of the 94 active players yesterday Dak was the best player on the field.

No amount of yards can overcome this.

Also what's the point of passing all those yards when you can't punch it in for a TD when you need one?

I do not think you will find an expert on football who will argue sincerely (there are people who need the clicks and who brand themselves as haters), who will argue Dak was not the best player on the field Sunday. He got chased down because while he was the best player on the field, sadly he was not the fastest player on the field. Even still with under a minute he them to the 6 and all that was needed was basic blocking for 2 seconds and the Cowboys win the game.

This game is a good litmus test though and functions as the converse to the 49ers game. If after the 49ers game you thought Dak played well you cant be taken seriously. Similarly it is impossible to take anyone seriously who thinks Dak did not play amazing on Sunday.

KEEP RIDING THE DAK TRAIN AND THAT IT’S NOT HIS FAULT! THE COWBOYS WILL AGAIN BE WHAT THEY ARE ALMOST EVERY YEAR, AT BEST A WILD CARD TEAM WITH A 1ST OR 2ND ROUND DEPARTURE IN THE PLAYOFFS! AND IT’S NOT ON DAK, HE’S TRYING! PLEASE!
Good thing you put it all in caps, that will really prove your point.

Blaming that game on Dak is just about the dumbest thing possible.

Dak might have had his best game of the year against Philly. Just saying, we didn't lose the game because of Dak. We lost it because Steele played perhaps the worst game of his career hands down. He was a turnstyle who played like each leg weighed 300 lbs.

The Dak and Romo parallels are inescapable at this point. It’s almost a little comical

He had the ball on the 6 yard line and Tyler Smith got a false start. Is that Dak's fault? Or McCarthy's?
depends in who decided to snap the ball the last few plays with :01 on the play clock.

super aggressive, then when it pays off start to over analyze/freeze. The delay of game is on the QB
