We already knew this....4 years ago on the exact same field and same situation, except with higher stakes to win the division. In 2019, they went to Philly and couldn't score a TD with the division and Garrett's job on the line. That was the moment when I knew Dak didn't have it.
Dak was injured that game.

You are being obtuse because you are intentionally using vague unquantifiable words as the basis of your argument. I can easily argue Dak elevated those around him yesterday. It would not be a tough argument to make.

The thing is I think you know that which is why you are trying to shift the conversation away from yesterday because by your own vague criteria Dak easily met it. I think you are trying to argue wins as a QB stat but we both know that’s a low football IQ take that makes no sense so you are trying to dance around it with vague terms.
Very very vague indeed

it permeates the team. this is not the first time.

the whole team gets anxious and tight in crunch time against the elite teams.

false starts, delay of games, routes short of the sticks, line up in neutral zone, face mask on a touch back kick

it is disgusting
you could say the same thing about the opposing teams.

Dak is playing school-yard football these last three games. Tolbert got that catch, because the DB basically slacked on the coverage as Dak was scrambling. A bunch of busted coverages. Late hits, dumb pass interference penalties.. on a 4th and 1, Eagles put their undrafted CB on Lamb in 1 on 1 on an island and he got shook out of his boots.. that was a pitch and catch

He elevated those around him against the Eagles. I agree he did not play well against SF but that seems to be a SF issue. He completely dominated the Eagles and elevated everyone around him. Multiple people on the offense had the best game of their career yesterday. That is the very definition of what you are citing. At the end of the day though your standard seems to be for Dak to do things that have never been done in NFL history and somehow win it on his own. The job of a QB is to give the players the best chance to look great. That is the "elevation" you are referring to. He cant do it for them. He cant make Gallup catch the ball but he can put it right on his hands. He cant make Lamb catch it but he can fake the defense with his eyes and time the throw perfectly so instead of a 10 yard gain its a 25 yard gain. That is what he did yesterday. I do not think anyone who knows football would argue against the idea that of the 94 active players yesterday Dak was the best player on the field.
He elevated those around him against Philly . . . Lol . . He finally stepped up to match the talent around him. This WR corps has been hampered by the indecisive Dak all year. Only difference is in this game Dak consistently threw the ball further then 5yards down the field

We can say this or that lost the game for the Cowboys but AGAIN, it comes down to the QB making a play when you need it most and for some reason, Dak seems to always fall short and it’s not for lack of effort, he just doesn’t get it done. 1st and goal on the six to WIN the game and we don’t score? I partly blame Dak but mostly however in this spot, McCarthy you would think would have a golden play or 2 in the back of his head just for such a time in a big game. NOPE!!
Reminded me of the QB run he did vs the Niners and not knowing the ref needed to touch the ball before snapping it.
Stupid is STUPID and when you add to that his Deer in the Headlights panic attack syndrome well expecting to win an SB with this gimp horse is truly delusional, to say the least!!!!
DAKCHOKA is his name and choking is his game when he's not giving the ball to the other defenses that is....................

Fans can be disappointed with their teams. This merry go round won’t stop until the FO changes.

Some fans are sick and tired of hearing and seeing the same old thing. 27 years?
Good. Like I said, if they are sick and tired of this 27 year merry-go-round of a franchise, they can go follow another team because their childish rants has become beyond tiresome. We're not their parents to have to keep putting up with it year after year after year.

The QB has the ball in his hands, IT IS HIS JOB. With 4:42 on the clock he had two drives to win it. Your post is picking on contributory factors, but as I keep saying, nothings going to improve in the near future (with big contracts/aging O-Line/limited CAP) so get used to it.....sometimes the QB just has to elevate his game to another level and that happens against the best (in the crucial moments), yes there are contributory factors but it's a regular occurrence: eg 49ers x2 Play-off games.

Im not blaming Dak, he is what he is, he just need's too much assistance to perform in an era that's going to see constraints on our CAP and O-Line that needs overhauling.
.....and immunity for others goes unnoticed? I'm now trying to figure if the ones you're referring to (about too much assistance) get jobs in the NFL.

???? I mean he needs weapons/protection (assistance), unfortunately that's easier to provide when on a lesser contract. Look we've deferred so much to put a team around him and still he needs more... its an either/or: Dak extension or O/Line, receiving corp, as the CAP situation stands you can't really have both.

So let me get this straight because I may be off here.

There's 27 seconds left.....
A QB DRAW fails.....it does not take 20 seconds off the clock lol. Maybe closer to 12 to 15 but we'll use your example and say 20.

7 Seconds are left. You're on what? The 4 or 5 yard line after this sneak?

7 Seconds left on the 4 or 5 yard line...you would rather go back 15 yards sand save the time? 7 seconds and 4 yards is not enough time?

I've never seen it in my life lol....never seen someone blame a false start on the QB....I can see if everyone false started but it was one guy lol.
I said 15 - 20. You cannot get another play off before 15 seconds runs off especially when Philly is piling on and slowing it down! Then you have to have that play called and ready. You did not have that concern with an incomplete pass. You get time to huddle and call a play that is not rushed. Hectic last 27 instead of 4 calm plays! I am at the 7 - throwaway is easy - should not ever take a sack there!

Lets say 10 seconds left. You have only 2 plays left. You would have 3 with an incomplete pass.

15 yards, what are you talking about? Why would I be back 15 yards - incomplete pass - even with the penalty it is a 5 yard penalty.

BONEHEAD CALL!!!

He is catching blame for the false start because it was just a bonehead move in the first place to switch plays!

You would have 3 but you would be pushed back 10 more yards lol.

How is it a boneheaded to switch plays when we don't even know what the play was or did they come out and say?

Because it is a run with no timeouts and 27 seconds - how hard is this?

How would I be pushed back 10 with a 5 yard penalty?

And honestly you do not know if you have that penalty if he does not change the play - You do not know that!

Now you have to run through million hours of tape lol….but a second ago it “happens all the time”….and you still didn’t read the question it’s ok man I know you get too caught up watching the Eagles every week. It can kill brain cells I get it.
Don't get all paranoid.

When I said "happens every week" I assume it was understood to mean penalties of a similar situation: i.e. in the RedZone....holds and or false starts....in crucial situations including end of games.

THAT happens all the time....even with TD passes getting called back (ours was a simple every day false start).

I know THAT happens all the time. But if we are JUST talking about on the 6 yard line....and JUST talking about Mahomes and Allen...then I guess you got me. I don't know off the top of my head if they've ever had to overcome a 5 yard false start penalty at the SIX yard line, needing a TD to win, in the waning moments of the game. I need to see if there's a website that sorts False Start penalties by yard line
