Well I can't speak for everyone, but I've never gave Dak excuses. I've blamed him for both those 49ers losses. It's Romo supporters like you and @erod , that can't provide any evidence that proves Romo is so much better than Dak
You can’t really do it based on stats alone. You’d have to compare similar team stats in terms of rankings and then compare the individual stats, but even then that is a difficult comparison. The only way to really do a comparison is to have them play on the same team and see how each does and that was only possible in 2016 and not allowed to happen with an open QB competition.

What is comparable is the talent level rankings of the teams they played on at least the defensive side of the ball, where both can be a factor but it’s usually more indirectly, e.g., turning the ball over giving defenses short fields, offense not producing so wearing down the defense, etc. What is reality is Dak has played on teams with far better defensive rankings especially when it comes to forcing turnovers and rushing the QB.

And Romos played with more offensive talent in his career than Dak

columbo wasnt horrible either. I hear that all the time about his line where in fact the days of his Phil costo's and pat mcQuistons were few than when he had pro bowlers. I will say much like Dak he never seemed to get both at the same time. He had bad or average defenses or bad lines
Yep Colombo was a damn good right tackle I’d love to have him now.

Romo’s done, we know the results, why it turned out this way can be debated but it’s still done.

Dak has a chance to not be Romo but that’s up to the team results.

With no SB wins the debate on who’s better doesn’t mean much, does it? If it is than I say Danny White is better then both of them.

Exactly, Dak has time to write his story. Romo's football story is over, and we all know how it ended. He broke his back.... spinal

They wanna compare young Dak to veteran Romo, but if you bring up 2007. They say "Romo was young doe"
Nobody is comparing young Dak to veteran Romo.

I gave yall two examples of players that played with both that preferred Romo over Dak.

Now im sure Cole Beasley might say he preferred Dak so dont say im cherry picking.

And btw Dez made the comment about Daks accuracy last year

Make up your mind. Are we comparing them when they were veterans or what?

Ill leave it here.

Romo 2014:
12-3 Record (8-0 on the road)
69.9 % completion
3705 yrds
34 tds
9 ints
113 passer rating
79 QBR
AP2
*first QB to lead league in regular season and post season passer rating

Dak 2023:
11-5 record (8-0 at home)
68.4% completion
4237 yrds
32 tds
8 ints
104 rating
70.5 QBR

Seems clear cut to me

So those numbers say that Romo is wayyy better? You can flip a coin, and I'd be cool with either one. My issue is the fans like you saying Romo is wayyy better, when none of the evidence supports that

T Will nor Dez played with Dak in 2023 tho. When has Dez ever put up stats like Lamb has?
Funny, when Dez played with Dak early in Dak's career, the knock on Dez quickly became "he's a lousy route runner and can't create separation".

Which has not been, nor ever will be, said about Lamb.

For a "lousy route runner" who "couldn't create separation", I'd say Dez had some pretty good seasons catching balls from Romo.

What's more indicative to this discussion is, how did Dez perform with Romo and how did Dez perform with Dak?
There's the comparison that might shed a little more light on this.

his last 3 years with Romo as starter, Dez averaged 1312 yards per year with 14 TD a year.
His 2 years with Dak as starter, 817 yards per year and 7 TD a year.

Production literally almost cut in half.
Coincidence? Maybe. I don't think so though.
