Just stating that Dak is an average QB is in itself a trollish comment. Everyone knows Dak is NOT an average QB. One can say he played average in a certain game, but to say Dak is average is what starts arguments because we all know based on his record and statistics, Dak is not an average QB.

It really isn't though. What an average QB is can be a very subjective statement so setting hard lines about that isn't fair at all. with only 32 starting quarterbacks there will be plenty of variation in what average really is. Personally I think you have about 6 QBs I would put in a higher teir than Dak, and after that it gets pretty tricky. I think him being ranked 7th is a valid argument, I also think him being ranked 12th is a valid argument, especially this season where we have a really odd qb year with so many top guys not winning games (Wilson/Brady/Rogers) and many we thought of as scrubs doing way better than expected (Smith, Jones, Hurts).

Labeling a subjective statement as trolling doesnt do any good.

On one hand you have a loudmouth 400 level fan talking in vague generalities about his top 10 qb versus a 100 level poster using stats, facts and common sense to explain and prove why Dak is more of a 22-30 qb.

But, Dak better elevate an even lesser bunch in Dallas...no matter what.

Do you think 3 points in the first half is going to cut it going forward? It's the SAME EXACT THING that doomed this team against the BEST defenses and playoff teams last year.

I get it. He has some rust, but the offense as it exists currently isn't one that can save the defense, even as elite as some might think it is. We saw this against Philadelphia and Tampa Bay. The Lions showed that Dallas can be had even without arguably their best offensive player.

Rodgers could've used much more specific off-season work with his new receivers, but after losing Adams it looks like he checked out and then started complaining in public. And he doesn't like Lafleurs' motion offense. Prescott could've used more work in preseason. That, coupled with his injury in week one, has put him behind the eight ball a bit. The Cowboys need him to be the guy they saw in early 2021. THAT guy can get the team to where it wants to go with the current defense. 2018 Dak (pre Cooper) is probably not going to get it done.

So yes, if he is the elite leader that many claim then he's going to have to raise the level of this offense, which is nowhere near what it was during the first six games of last year. The key loss being Amari Cooper...the man who resurrected Prescott in 2018.

One game means little. Cherry picking proves nothing. Bucs D is very tough.

But if you want a full season check out last year or the year before with Dak. #1 scoring offense in the NFL. Facts are stubborn things.

Dak himself stated he would elevate the offense as did many members on here so what is the issue when he doesn't? Why get defensive and bring Rodgers into it as a means to deflect?
