Well that is purely a hypothetical that may or may not ever happen.

What did happen?

Cowboys traded a 4th round draft pick for a 3rd string QB...............that is what actually happened and yes, that is called getting taken to the woodshed.
No it is not. Only to the ones that do not understand football.

Cowboys trade 4th round pick for Lance..............FACT
Lance is currently the 3rd string QB.....................FACT

Ergo, Cowboys trade 4th round pick for 3rd string QB........FACT.

Unless you are living in an alternative dimension, please explain to me how none of the above has happened.

So, it was still a good gamble trade. We still do not know what he really is yet.

Thats true, we dont know exactly what his ceiling is but they obviously dont view him as starting caliber with Dak resigning.

Maybe they plan to let Rush walk after this season and sign Lance to be Dak's primary backup for the next couple of years?

I dont know, will be interesting to see how the QB room settles out now that Dak is back for the foreseeable future.

Good talking with you Jazzcat, even if we may disagree there is no need for us to be disagreeable.........We should all be friends here.............good night.

Does this mean that Parsons is the odd one out of the trio and doesnt get extended?

Gonna get him to share them game checks one way or another. Spread the blame, spread the wealth.

Jerry fist pumping for 7 months hearing “highest paid player in NFL history” … Only gonna cost Dak a few watches.

Oceans 4 should be the season theme.

Incapable? Total bs. That's your opinion. Not quite a fact.
Then show me where he has lead this team to playoff success? Is it not a fact that we haven't had playoff success and have not went deep in the playoffs while he has been here?

The answer is yes. That would make that a fact whether you like it or not.

The only thing I will say is…….. quite the negotiations here by the Jones’. Dig in, don’t sign him earlier in offseason to free up cap space, and then…….. still make him the highest paid player in NFL history.

LOL, well done, Jerruh.

4 years of solid QB play. I'll take it.
If the defense and the running game can win some games for us as well, we have as good of a chance to win some playoff games as any other team.

This front office has built a very good football team.
They have…a good team with a few glaring holes.

And I’m in the camp that we could have gotten a good RB had we resigned CeeDee and Dak early in the offseason.

Lamb’s extension alone saved $9 million. That was enough to sign Barkley, Henry, Pollard, Jacobs, or whoever we wanted.

We’re still waiting on the numbers for Dak but his cap number probably dropped significantly as well…

Sorry, but from what I have seen Dak is just the guy we got today. Beat up on a team that is missing roughly 1/2 their starting O-line and their #1 RB. Yay we beat a team that will probably not even make the playoffs. When I see him lead this team to a deep playoff run then maybe, actually probably won't, believe he's worth paying more than ANY OTHER PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE?!? Which is why I said today sucks. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even you, so please don't slam others for having theirs.
The Browns OTs and RB play defense now?

The Anti-Dak Cult is HILARIOUS.

There is a reason why they didn't sign those guys earlier.

They love to pretend they are cap poor when FA hits. They use it to justify their cheapness in FA.

Got to admit, Dak looked good today against the number one ranked defense from last year.
we must have been watching a different game. Under 60% completions and 179 yards on 32 attempts? I will grant you that he looked sharp on the first touchdown drive with a couple of really good throws but other than that there was nothing about his performance that screamed "I should be paid more than anybody in NFL history"

the defense and special teams won this game plain and simple

Dakota drove the bus well enough, but again that's not worth $60 million a year
