Since you brought it up...
Last 3 postseasons___
Prescott's teams 1-3, Mahomes' teams 9-1
Career-to-date___
Prescott's teams 2-5, Mahomes' teams 15-3
That's all that matters. Regular season numbers are good but post season numbers are what really counts.

Let’s be real about his second in MVP season: ~47% of his passing TDs came from our terrible defenses inside our division. WSH gave him 8.

We held the NINERS to 19 and 23 points.
What did you want our defense to do keep them scoreless in both games and Dak could win it with a couple of Field Goals?
Guess so................... :muttley:
Go find another hobby to entertain yourself with…yawn!

Has Mahommes had comparable skill players in that time frame? Sure, he has Kelce, and had Hill...but Hill's been gone for a couple of years. His RB stable isn't much to write home about. His receivers are decent, not great. His line is solid. Remember, when Dak had average receivers, he struggled, and the team traded for Cooper. When he just had Lamb, he led the league in interceptions, and the team traded for Cooks.

Now think of that in terms of cap distribution. Yes, Mahommes does have a high APY salary, but he signed a 10 year deal to help his team move money around as necessary. He hasn't had a highly paid WR1, WR2, or RB1 eating up his team's cap space, which has allowed them to sign that big time DT, and distribute spending more evenly, less skewed towards offensive skill positions, resulting in a more balanced team. Dak's 4 year contract cut into that opportunity to move money around without the adverse effects that we see this offseason.

It isn't about who's more deserving. Clearly that would be Mahommes. It isn't that Dak sucks. He doesn't. He's a great QB, and if he leaves, I wish him the best. I just don't see how we will field a consistent, championship caliber team with Dak making 60m and Lamb bringing home 30+. The offense will do well, but the defense will regress, and we will continue to argue individual stats vs team accomplishments. If Dak want to do more, he will have to take less....I just don't see his representation allowing that to happen.

Well, yes, thanks to Dak missing most of 2020 due to severe lower leg injury. The stats should benefit the healthy Mahomes, yet they favor Dak. I wonder why?

:huh::popcorn:
Imagine what Mahomes would do with Cee Dee Lamb instead of Rashee Rice in the playoffs :laugh::laugh:

Meh, they made up the difference with Travis Kelce and his almost 1,000 yards receiving. Our 2nd biggest receiving threat was our TE Ferguson and his 761 yards receiving.

This site is truly something. No FO in the NFL would take Dak Prescott over Patrick Mahomes. The OP is simply fishing and boy did he catch a big one.

Remember Dak choking is everyone else's fault. Also remember if the defense allows the opponent to score then we can't blame Dak choking on Dak, it's the defenses fault.

Sounds like the excuses people give Matt Stafford with an 11-72 record vs winning teams. The same people who say a good quarterback elevates the talent around them are the same people making excuses for people like Stafford, Herbert, etc.

And for the folks who bring up the Rams Superbowl run, Stafford led the league in interceptions that season so he just went for the ride. 14 other quarterbacks would have with that Rams team.

When it comes to Dak "good quarterbacks elevate the talent around them".

When it comes to other quarterbacks who are highly paid with a trash record as a starter, the same people give excuses like, "they were drafted to a bad team with bad coaching"..... as if we were coached by Lombardi or Belichick.

If one quarterback is expected to elevate the talent around them the ALL quarterbacks fall under the same umbrella especially if they were drafted in the 1st round compared to a 4th round drafted quarterback.

All you need to do is watch each guy throw a ball once. Mahomes throws it like a god. He looks like Rodgers or Marino. Effortless and beautiful. Dak looks like Uncle Rico.

2016 Dak fantastic. Young athletic dual threat QB. Efficient and repeatable offense. Rookie contract. More of this please.

2023 Dak not so fantastic. Older stationary QB. Stat compiling offense that is easily shut down in post season. Crippling contract. No thanks.

Comparing Dak to Mahomes is such nonsense.
