Wow. This dude is looking like a once-in-a-lifetime pick. His demeanor is absolutely amazing. But Dez is a Top 10 player at his position. Maybe the offense doesn't use him as such but he is a weapon. He should show him that respect and I didn't see the respect in the quote. He's got to learn to compliment his teammates or he could run the risk of not being viewed as a team guy.
Aren't you just a little tired of this team coddling one players emotions? These players get paid to play and every player on this team has an opportunity to raise their status regardless of where they were drafted or how much their paid.
Dak said exactly what we wanted to hear him say even if we did not know it.

The Niner's aren't doing that on offense with Gabbert. Will Hyde tear it up for 100+ yards? Probably, but that's not getting that team 30+points on the board. This will be a close, low scoring game with probably a lot of turnovers and penalties. That's my prediction. If any team is going to start running away with it it will be Dallas.
I hope you're right.

No Dez means tighter coverage everywhere else. Dak might force some throws this game = turnovers.

Hyde going for 100+ is a given. The entire defense is going to be gassed if they have to play 70 plays. We don't have the depth for that.

Dallas is perfect for beating the49ers. They below average against the run. The Cowboy OL. should be able to manhandle them. Their QB's are not that great. I am very optimistic about this game.

Regarding Dez injury.

"I don't really pay attention to who I'm throwing to," said Prescott, who has connected with Bryant 11 times for 150 yards and a touchdown this season. "I just go through my reads, whoever's open gets the ball. So I mean hope gets well, is well really, really soon, but it doesn't really affect this offense."

Dak will still get it done this weekend.
Of course it doesn't really affect Dak or the offense now. With Romo, this season would have already been shot. Since Dak is now here, this offense will not miss a beat this weekend.

As I mentioned in another post, you will see how completely wasted nearly $35 million dollars of cap space is when there is zero dropoff in offense production. Remember this post.

Now, if the Cowboys management is smart, they will take note of this and make appropriate moves this offseason to really man up the defense and continue building the OL. Will this happen though? Time will tell

No club has ever been afraid of Bryant. A tough running game..sure...but sizzle recievers with Bryants reputation are easy to shut down. NO DEFENSE worries too much about a player like Bryant who only shows up when he feels like it and can only contribute against soft defenses.

I am just curious how the mood changes when he throws even one INT.

All I know speaking for myself, he has already surpassed expectations I had for him.

The mood -- or rather the mood of those that are patient, and not knee jerk -- will greatly depend on how he responds after said interception. Nothing he has displayed thus far tells me that he won't brush it off, turn the page, and move on to the next play.

His life adversities have taught him that life goes on. His first motion after scoring is to point to the sky to his Mom, not celebrate, not grandstand. He's about his business and winning.

It's actually a stupid quote. He doesn't pay attention to who he's throwing to. Maybe that's why he's overthrown Cole Beasley so many times this year or why Bryant was invisible in the opener. You can not treat him like every other receiver. He's open when he's not open. You have to know that as the quarterback and you have to feed your best weapon. Just like you have to know if your WR is a midget. Whether he has track speed. To just treat them all the same is foolish. I've never heard a QB say that.

Saying it won't affect the offense is just ridiculous. It'll affect the offense because it'll affect the way defenses defend you.

Grasping at all of those straws, you must be thirsty.

Great WRs don't get shut down and disappear in games. Ask Michael Irvin.....
I have had just about enough of comments like this. Irvin played in a far different era than Dez. Coaching has changed dramatically scheme wise. Dez didnt get shut down in game 2 because why? he was MOVED around the field. Good coaching staffs put their guys in positions to succeed. Ask AB, or OBJ, or just about any WR in the top 5. Irvin was special, so is Dez, the difference is the GAME itself has changed. Stop comparing a guy that played 20 years ago plus to a guy that is playing in todays NFL. Id love to see Irvin in his prime up against the schemes, safeties, and corners that Dez deals with. Thats like comparing Tom Landry to Bill belichek. Both pioneers, but in different Eras.

Don't worry, Jerry will demand a decrepit Romo takes over. We're in good hands. Can't wait. o_O

No... he's not top 10. That's pure reputation and group think. Is he good? Yes even better than good but not top 10. He doesn't beat double teams or even create separation. He relies on out jumping people and coming down with the ball but he doesn't do that with any regularity even when he isn't injured.

Stop it. Irvin won against corners that could mug him and safeties that were allowed to take your head off. Just stop

Yeah ill stop, when you show me a corner not named Deion that could play in todays NFL. Comparing players from different eras is the biggest cop out. In ANY sport. The game has changed, workouts have changed, Jesus, NUTRITION has changed. These guys are way better athletes than in the 90s. You want to compare players from different eras? Go ahead, but its not a fair comparison is all I am trying to say.

He needs 3 Inch Letters..

that's his only problem.

If this had been Romo..

we would have heard a bunch of brown-nosing the other team about how good they were and a mini-lecture about how impressive on film they are.

Just so they don't have billbooard material that causes him to take a beating.

DAK has all the right things to suceed.

Lets hope the rest of the team agrees with him.
