It's not just turnovers. It's dumb passes or decisions. It's taking sacks that he shouldn't. It's missing WRs.

He's an above average QB. I mean let's be honest, the only reason he needs to pull that drive out at the end is because of the bad interceptions and fumble. He probably cost the Cowboys 10 points or so with those mistakes. IMO, he's just not good enough to win a SB. And he certainly isn't good enough to win a SB paired with the Jones fools running the team who think Elliott and Dowdle is a quality RB room because Henry was too expensive. That being said, thinking Fields is better is kind of funny.
All that and he was NFL MVP runnerup last year. I’ll take those that know over a Zoner every time.

...I think with Fergs and Tolbert getting better. It takes pressure off CD and Dak.

Then you also have Luepke in the mix. So its getting interesting going forward.

He saved the season?
I don’t know about that.
.
If based on this game alone, he was both the clown and the hero.
The three turnovers aren’t good, regardless of the score.

He tried to give the game away. The defense came to his rescue time and time again. However, you can't make stops all the time. If Allen would have stayed in at QB, the game could have been far different. However if Dak did not screw up for those 3 times, that could have made a big difference in our favor.

Dak did come through at the end. And I will take it. But to save the season, not so sure. A long way to go. But this win sure does help. However, I am not going into the Detroit game thinking things are fixed. Far from it.
I don’t think he needed the defense to save him. Certainly, FGs in those turnover situations would have been nice, but the turnovers were on the Pittsburg end of the field, so their offense never got a short field where the defense had to save anyone.

I said for now . And I said we’d of bashed him if lost.

Where are we if we lose that game falling to 2-3 facing 2-4 Sunday against Lions. And 2-5 headed to SF.

We can definitely argue this win saved the season for now.

You guys confuse me. So you can’t miss receivers, you can’t throw interceptions….so we see Josh Allen do this weekly, Jalen Hurts do it weekly…..Mahomes do it weekly….what quarterback doesn’t throw dumb passes or decisions? Or make mistakes? Sam Darnold?

Expecting to beat San Fran and Lions without Micah, Bland and Law is a tall task.
I'm just questioning the premise that the season is saved when things look a bit bleak and it is questionable that we win the division having to face the a much improved Washington team and the hated eagles.

Obviously you didn’t read entire OP probably just responding to title.

So you think we’d be in a better position to save the season at 2-3 facing 2-4?

There are still 12 games left.
If cowboys were at 2-3 their season isn’t over. Would you say the giants’ season is over?
Giants can still end up winning the division.
We haven’t reached the pivotal point of the season for the cowboys yet.

Of course officially it wouldn’t be over.

But I’d argue facing 2-4 at the bye the alarms and dumpster fire would be lit. As total collapse could be on.

3-2 avoids all of that rhetoric for now. For now is key words.

I mean you never know how things go. Arizona just beat San Fran….Commanders lost to the Bucs and almost lost to the Giants. When you have the best qb in the division it goes a long way…..

I'm just not too optimistic about the season. Going beyond our opponents it is the first time fans have a right to gripe about the OL and running game, something every quarterback eventually has to go through. We are getting to see how the QB is reacting to that situation and so far it isn't very encouraging. Being up just 6-3 12 minutes-something into the 3rd is concerning too. Why put up a clickbait title if you not going to stand behind it? Without Defense, Dak wouldn't have done enough to win and the we would just be talking about how you have to score more points to win. I say we just lucked out, against a team where the other quarterback didn't perform well either.

In that case, we could have said this player saved the season or that player saved the season FOR NOW after their first win.
“Rhetorics” don’t bother me. It keeps the conversation going.
.
If anybody saved the cowboys for now, it is their kicker, Aubrey.
