thats if they dont release...the concurrent rumor IS a release.

the reserve/retired list is a secondary rumor

obviously Dallas will do whats best for them. Romo just need to submit letter of retirement to Cowboys. Then Dallas retains his right and designate him as post june 1st release. This story is over.

So do we know about when this is actually supposed to happen?

Why do you hang on to every word that Jerry says, when you know he is a salesman? That's on you, not him.

Because so many on here were there to defend his claims.

There are so many decisions that seems stupid at the time, like Romo's contract extension, and they actually turn out to be stupid.

But too many on here try reading into it further than necessary.

This is a horribly ran franchise with some good scouts (will mcclay).

Still fake until Tony says it.

You expect me to believe one of the fiercest competitors busted tail the last 2 years to get ready and goes out on this note?

I don't friggin believe and I don't think he would be able to sleep at night without giving it one more go.
He's done! Stick a fork in him.

It disturbs me that a fellow Tar Heel fan is such a massive Romo hater.

Good for him, his wife and kids ( one still in her tummy ) must be happy. Go be a great broadcaster and at 50 you can always try the Senior Golf Tour.

Only 5 more to catch UCLA!!!!

(Not a UCLA fan, so, if you are going to mock them, doesn't matter to me).

Always thought Tony was better than he got credit for. Too bad Jerry never put together a strong offensive line for him in his early years. Thanks for always being a warrior on the field Tony!

you know its funny but fish was saying retirement all along. also best believe if Dak goes down at all this season, guess who's back, back again...

Just becuase he's retired doesn't mean he loses value. Retain his rights and if somebody loses a starter...

That is not acknowledged enough. People love to talk about how he needed a defense, but how the OL was fumbled with the likes of Costa, Livings, Holland and others for a few years shortened his career a bit.

I wonder if he will be better than Aikman in the booth. Bc he wasn't better than him on the field.

No, they put him on the retired list and retain his rights.
