Yikes, while arguable..prepare to catch the wrath. I will say, Tony wins 3 Super Bowls with those early 90s teams easily..probably 4
Romo wouldn't have the numbers he has now if he played with that team. They won because Aikman took care of the ball handed it to Emmitt with a great defense supporting them. I really don't know if they win 3 SBs with Romo in the 90s. Obviously there's no way to know but it's a fun discussion and fun to think about. We gotta remember though Romo did have some good defenses for a couple seasons and either choked the season away himself or was let down by players like Crayton and Dez

Stats say otherwise, and they don't care about your feelings.
Stats are inflated in this era. They throw the ball more in this era. Can't believe i have to explain that. At the end of the day it's about results. It's about postseason success. Maybe a conference championship appearance over the course of a decade would suffice.

That's just it. If Romo wanted to retire, it wouldn't have mattered.
True but I think tony is too competitive not to have given it a shot had they made an offer and shown real interest.

He was an UDFA out of Eastern Illinois, probably would have been nothing had the Cowboys not invested the franchise on an initial discount QB.
Guy layed it out, played with a punctured lung, always the competitor but never the champion.
Jerry put 100 mill in his account... and Romo will go make even more now.
Good deal for Romo,
not so much for the Cowboys and their fans.

Romo's legacy to me is no different than the likes of Warren Moon and Dan Fouts. All about the numbers.

Shanahan noticed him out of college as well. Romo chose here due to the depth chart at QB. Even though Denver offered him double the signing bonus. http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4671877/mike-shanahan-failed-to-recruit-tony-romo

And then when Payton left he wanted to trade for Romo.

He would be playing this year if it wasn't for the year Dak had last year.

A typical Aikman game was 19 of 24 190 yards and a touchdown back then. Aikman had his share of bad interceptions. Unless Tony wets the bed one of those games they win all those games..nevermind the one in San Fran

Typical GMs don't have a lifetime contract and don't spend the majority of their time playing up "potential" to maintain a sense of optimism and being 100% wrong about it.
100% wrong about being optimistic? You make no sense. Dallas is a legit contender despite your crying. Where are your three superbowls? Don't like it, raise about 5 billion and buy the team.

Beating the Giants one last time.

I hope Romo's good in the booth. It's hard to tell who's got the gift and who doesn't. I do love listening to him talk about how he approaches football. And he's got a good sense of humor when it comes to making fun of a guy's haircut or whatever.

After getting over my initial surprise...this makes TOTAL sense. Why keep getting pounded on? Dude already has MILLIONS and now he bumps out Gspot Phil
to boot! Friggin' brilliant by his agent and Tony. My gosh man....WELL played. Got relatively healthy and rich as HELL. SO he didn't win a SB? Join the crowd.
