I hold no ill-will for those who've disliked me through the years.
Look. I baked them crownies.

Shanahan noticed him out of college as well. Romo chose here due to the depth chart at QB. Even though Denver offered him double the signing bonus. http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4671877/mike-shanahan-failed-to-recruit-tony-romo

And then when Payton left he wanted to trade for Romo.

He would be playing this year if it wasn't for the year Dak had last year.
Smarter businessman than he ever was a QB.
Trying to run the ball on third and long in a meaningless preseason game ended his career, and was consistent with crucial decisions he made his entire career.
Not trying to piss on his departure, there is always a place in my heart for all Cowboys of Romos tenure, but I'm pretty sick of the Romo Legacy love fest.
Aikman won 3, but fans hate on him because of teaming up with the Buck, and being non bias... lol
Aikman put rings on the fingers,,, that's the Champion.

You're wrong.

If Aikman thought he was a better QB than Romo, he just wouldn't have said anything. Or he would have said Romo is a very good QB. And not compared himself to Romo at all.

Stop trying to frame the narrative in your favor when you have no quotes or evidence to back it up.

It's sad.
I'm not writing for the Dallas morning news. I don't need citations or quotes to get across 1 simple undeniable truth. Tony was not a top 5 QB in his own era. Let alone better than Aikman.

Brady
Manning
Brees
Roethlisberger
Rodgers

All better than Tony and all have rings. Truth hurts some times. I'm not saying he was a bad QB.

I know nothing about the cap and I have a coworker who might be an idiot and I'd like to tell him so, if possible

would us having released Tony a lot earlier done anything in the way of being able to keep some of our departed free agents (if we wanted to)?

What's it going to be then, eh?

Why is it people criticize **** when they have no idea at all what they're talking about? Shouldn't normal people be embarrassed by this stuff?

How long until we hear this is an unfair situation? Dallas basically has an unpaid 54th roster spot and an emergency QB that can come in on a weeks notice and be a top 10-15 QB. When the dust settles and it is reported that he has a clause in his CBS contract allowing him to go back the Dallas at any time, people are not going to be happy.

lol, thanks guys

this is the same guy that theorized rather seriously that Jerry was going to trade Dak for draft picks so that he could give Romo back the starting job

also the same guy who said he "hopes Dak kills 'em" when it comes time to get paid (as in, hopes he gets the biggest contract of all-time or something)... as if he was Dak's relative or something

So what, it is what it is. they had a chance to trade for him and failed.

Yikes, while arguable..prepare to catch the wrath. I will say, Tony wins 3 Super Bowls with those early 90s teams easily..probably 4
I don't know about that, Ryno. Aikman was Brady before Brady was Brady. An efficient QB who trusted the system and had faith in his arm when appropriate. Aikman destroyed defenses with an uncanny vision of the field, from short, medium -- and at times -- deep routes. To say "easily" and "four Super Bowls" is a stretch, imo. With respect, Ryno.

I do think he would have gotten us one, maybe more. Those teams were incredibly well put together, but I don't know if he would have done more than our Aikman.

Crazy to go to the top dog spot at CBS just like that.

I know the rumors were out there for a while to replace Simms, but just expected him to cover the non prime time games for a year or so.

People trivialize what it takes to win a super bowl by saying crap like that.

Romo could barely put together two solid playoff performances in a row let alone win multiple super bowl titles.

Zordon, yeah Aikman was a damn beast. Every intangible along with a great arm.

Good morning, my man :)
