Dalton throws for 300+ yds: fans say keep him. Dak threw for 450+ yds 3 times, fans say cut him?

Crazy times alright, and you need some serious therapy otherwise your love of Dak is going to be your downfall.

OK, so now that I don't agree with your take on Dak, you can start with the insults like you do with every other poster that does not have your obsession with Dak like you do. Seek medical help immediately, you are living in crazy times...in your head.
Crazy times, 450 yards and L are better than 377 yards and a W. It must be near a full moon and they let the crazies out. Happy New Year.

Dalton has won three in a row. I don't think The Dak won three in a row in a long time, certainly not to start this season before he got injured. His one win was because of a freaking watermelon! lol

I don’t think Dalton gives you any shot of beating a good team or making any playoff noise. You don’t want to pay Dak, fine. But thinking that building a team around Andy Dalton is gonna get you anywhere substantial is a complete mistake and overreaction to beating a few bad teams.

Look at the rosters he had in Cincy in his prime when he went to all those playoff games and never won. Arguably as good a roster as we would put together here with a similar level HC. Dalton is a 14-16 QB while Dak is 7-9. That’s a big difference when it comes to winning meaningful games as you would need a perfect roster and elite HC with Dalton to do anything of note. Dak needs help as well but not to the extent Dalton would.

With this FO there’s no way you can bank on them building the level of roster needed to win big with Dalton.

Hey, Jack, YOU are the one who starts with the insults AS USUAL. But as a typical little boy, you blame others for things you actually do FIRST. Start telling the truth for once.

Dalton is proving he’s better than Dak.

This guy walked into an OL that had third stringers and plugged in with no time to gel. He didn’t even have Martin. His first game starting, Zeke fumbled twice in the first half when he was moving the ball.

Moore had no chance to use play-action in that context, because all teams did was blitz. It’s hilarious people think Dak would have put up ‘stats’ in this context. In the last game he played in against the Browns, he was staring down his first reads all day in play-action and should have had like 8 INTs. This whole offense for Dak is built off play action. That’s why he threw the pick to Cooper on the play his fans claimed Cooper gave up in the route. It was basically the same exact play he lucked out in the first quarter, where the second DB was a split second late. And with the OL completely destroyed, there is no way play-action was even viable during that stretch. Hell, we almost won with DeNucci when Moore decided to actually run the ball behind Martin. But Moore, for whatever reason, decided to start off by having his WRs play Qb and throw the ball.

Now that the bum OL has developed some consistency, Dalton is leading this team period. This is without Martin as well and our RUnning game being shot. This guy is taking advantage of the man coverage he’s seeing in Gallup. Hes actually leading WRs and giving them ample space to run, like he did to Cooper on that sick cut. He’s not throwing back-breaking INTs and putting the ball in the end zone. Dak last year, as the season went on, got exposed once again.

Dak had five years of excuses, when we were solid on OL, RG and even defensively in terms of scoring. We are in rebuild mode because we wasted the roster on the Dak experiment. It’s not the other way around.
This is by far the dumbest post I’ve ever read on here

I’m in the camp of having a ‘good’ qb and not great......and paying as such. This is why.
- you can build an elite D—-D keeps you in games in a scoring friendly league
- you can build an elite o line which helps QBs /RBs/WRs look better so....
- you have more leverage in their deals because you know the next above avg talent skill player will have commensurate success
- injuries at skill positions are not season killers / easier to find “good” replacements instead of trying to replace a Tom Brady type player

Looking at W-L records to gauge QB talent is what got people thinking Cam Newton was MVP.

This thread seems to be all about whether or not Dak is better than a backup QB with a $3m base salary. Maybe we offer him $4m per year?

Is Dak worth 35-40 million more than Dalton? What could we do with that money? Just saying. It appears worthy of discussion.

And we could still draft a QB.
Drafting a QB. Simple and Brilliant!!! That almost always works.

Can we please draft a pro bowler or a hall of fame talent? Will he stay on his rookie contract forever as a bonus?

The difference: Romo was a CHOKER (as time proved to be true...I warned y'all). Dak is not.

Romo went Hollywood after his first year as a starter in 2006. Dak did not.

That's the difference you guys up till today refuse to understand.

One QB LIVES FOOTBALL 24/7. The other one didn't. Clear as day.
Yea, can’t believe Dallas wasted such a high pick on Romo, I was against it back then and was proven right. Romo got by on a ton of talent and his draft status, soo lazy. Fat too.

Fans aren't involved with salary and contract details, I wish they all knew this.
Nor are fans involved with draft decisions, free agent acquisitions, or who should start\play more- but they still express their opinions on those matters too.

I'm pretty sure I was expressing my opinion. Thank you for the unsolicited forum operational lesson .
