Depends on the strain. In most states with recreational use legal, you will have a ton of information about what any specific strain is good for and not good for. Very useful for matching medicine to symptom.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Sam Williams was arrested by Frisco police Sunday night on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of a weapon, per a police department spokesperson.
The controlled substance charge, for alleged possession of marijuana, is a low-level state felony and the unlawful carrying of a weapon is a misdemeanor, according to Frisco police. Williams, 24, played in the Cowboys’ 22-14 loss in Seattle on Saturday. He returned with the team early Sunday morning.

The Cowboys declined to comment through a spokesman. The team is aware of the arrest.

Are we absolutely certain the controlled substance is marijuana .

According to Texas state law possession of 2 ounces or less is a misdemeanor unless intent to distribute . Not a low level felony .

I would think a permit to carry and having the weapon registered are basic law compliance.

You don’t need a LTC to carry(concealed or open) in Texas anymore. But, if you have been in trouble with the law, that changes. I imagine he wasn’t allowed to own a firearm for some reason or another.

Having the THC automatically makes carrying the firearm illegal.

If he didn’t have it, the gun wouldn’t have been an issue.

It’s an add on crime.

Now why having a weed pen is even illegal in Texas is another matter entirely.

This will get sorted out in the criminal justice system. Then, if the League deems it necessary to punish him, so be it.

He'll be in the lineup to start the season. His poor decision making will affect whether he gets a 2nd contract in Dallas. Still too early to even worry about that.
