Lads, next season looks grim. That is, if 2025 follows script of doing little in FA and in trades as in this season.

Some points for we handsome blokes and blokettes to consider:

*Our O line shows signs of stagnation, though the young ones show promise. Nothing good or great.
*Our triplets are now Dak/Lamb/Dowdle. A far cry from the original triplets.
*Our D? It is anchored by Parsons, Bland and Diggs. After that, the talent level drops to journeyman and never-were's.
*Special teams? We have the best in the NFL!!!
*Coaching is a mystery. But whether McCarthy resumes his Abrahamic slog through also-ran territory or Yoda wises up and hires Jon Gruden, next season won't be pretty.

With this in mind, I foresee another collapse or a middling season. No playoffs and another lousy draft pick at No. 15.

I expect 8-9.

What are your expectations, cerebral and lovable fans?

I think your post is very likely to ring true.

I've had no real expectations for this team since Jimmy left. However, I do love the Cowboys. I got to see three Superbowls in my lifetime.

If they play with the heart they have shown the last few weeks....and we manage to stay healthy..... I see some contract restructured, Tank and Martin walking...Jerry will bring in a few above average FAs and will make one big splash to appease the masses. I see, 10 to 12 wins and a close second round playoff game that can go either way. I'll tell you more, in 13 months.
Already falling for the annual okie doke and it's not even year 2025 yet.

ur right about the past few games and how they played…..better on Zims D scheme. If that carries over with health and some great drafting and continued improvement with the Oline in the tackle positions, they might get in to the playoffs again, doubt they would be Super Bowl ready Though.

I expect to watch every single game, play as I have been since 1966, and just like every fan of the other 31 teams I expect to see us win until we lose and to make playoffs and win a SB

Expectations? There are so many unanswered questions I don't think there's anything to do except wait and see.
Draft? Wait and see. Who stays and who goes? Wait and see. These idiots are so unpredictable, all we can do is wait and see and hope for the best.

Last offseason, the team lost a lot of good players. This season, I don't think that will be the case.

Overall I expect a marginally better team next year but as always, injuries will play a big factor.

The big concern is that I really don't see a path to being an elite team. Its just wack a mole with trying to use the draft to fill holes. This might be another extended run of near 0.500 football. The clapper years part duex.
Gonna lose OSA, Turpin, Rico, Lewis, and Rush.

Cooks

Hoffman

Martin

DLaw

Steele is gonna get post June cut

23M in cap isn’t enough to keep anyone.

Teams lose players every year. Look at your list. DLaw and Martin aren't playing. If Steele gets cut, they get more capspace ($14m). Turpin is a restricted free agent. Rush is a lifer.

Its really Cooks, Lewis and Osa and Dallas might be able to retain one or two of them with the money. That's not nearly as bad as the previous season. They lost Smith, Biadasz, Pollard, Fowler, Gilmore, Kearse, Hankins, etc. Last year was a blood bath.

we have a shot at the RFA players.

they will need a 1st or 2nd on them . That’s 5M+ for each.

and our cap is jacked.

fans have to be real.

Same formula as usual….

-Two wins vs Giants, split with Washington, probable two losses to Philly, possible split.

-Find the bad teams on the schedule. All wins, one possible loss.

-Find the good teams on the schedule. All losses, one possible win.

Just enough to make Jerry think he is “close” and sell his same nonsense for 2026.

That’s EXACTLY what one can expect.
