So because I want to see more than 30 minutes of a preseason game....dare I say even a full season....before 'getting on board' than I have no issue not getting on the blind faith train.
If you need a full season, nobody will care by that point. At that point, you’ll just be wrong. Not that you’ll admit it. It’s not in your character.

You can stay off the train.

Us old guys remember when fans in New England pre-maturely anointed some late round pick, Brady I believe was the name, as a better QB than Bledsoe. They were all so wrong lol.

"It's not in your character."

Wow, sure as hell sounds like a personal insult.....if only there were forum rules against things like that. Perhaps you and a few others can come up with a list of no-no's so that members know they will get benched for violating those things....just a random thought.

I don't really get why there's no attention being paid to his shortcomings (no pun intended).

Nobody is talking about, on the 6-yard run, when he got blasted sideways by first contact or the single-arm tackle around the shoulders that pulled him backwards. Those are just as telling about his skillset as the spin move highlight.
This is why he will only get so many snaps and sometimes he will look good and other times he won't. He will never get a ton of action and make the league cry about not drafting him. He is what he is. He has some value and will make some plays though but just not in volume.

I didn't say it. She and others are.
Let’s not forget that he was running behind backup OLmen too, some of them even further behind the backups who started on the OL, yet he produced more than the RBs ahead of him. If he’d been running behind our true starting OL vs the Jags’ starting defense, I think he still shows up.

Things I know and do not know
  1. I do not know Deuce Vaughn because I primarily watch SEC and Sun Belt college football, not Big 12 or Kansas State (how much longer will it even be called Big 12 anyway?)
  2. I do know Dallas drafted Vaughn in the sixth round, which will translate as a high draft value selection IF he has any measurably successful production in his rookie year while healthy--objectively OR subjectively.
  3. I do not know how either Mike McCarthy and Brian Schottenheimer will specifically utilize Vaughn in the offense. Actual usage is relevant.
  4. I do know I have gone from having causal anticipation of how well Vaughn will perform during the season to highly anticipated. Not from the college hype of Vaughn, which I never followed or heard before. It is from the vocal denial of what Vaughn can potentially do at the professional level.
Yep. I am now waiting to see if Vaughn will be the future star Kay Adams claims he will become. And it should be noted the NFL has witnessed star labeling of players who are not always starters or immediate starters. One example of that outcome would be Jerry Jones possibly pimping Vaughn's likeness on stadium banners, pushing 42 apparel, etc. Yes. I am ready for some football.

Let's also remember he was running against back-ups or soon-to-be-released players and that Vaughn had 8 carries for 50 (6.3 ypc) yards and 1 td plus 3 catches for 6 yards (2 ypc) in his play....of which 1 of his runs was for 26 yards so in his 7 other carries he totaled 24 yards (3.43 ypc). So while of course recognizing the 26-yard run, let's also recognize that his 7 other carries were similar to that of Rico Dowdle who had 6 carries for 21 yards and added 3 catches for 33 yards (11 ypc).

Yes, at the trolls, haters and low life’s sure. Aren’t you?
So you get angry by people you do not know or have any investment in simply because of differing opinions or viewpoints? I agree with DE on this one.

No, I get angry at posters like you who 24x7 365 post nothing but negativity.
I guess you missed my posts about the Dallas young LB group then....as just one example to dispel your claim. Regardless, baked ziti and garlic bread to make so stay safe (I may be mistaken but thought someone said you lived in Hawaii).
