bevo11's posting intelligent counters one after the other. In the past, KJJ has eventually added members who have used this strategy to his ignore list. Will bevo11 be the next honored inductee of the KJJ Ignore Hall of Fame? Stay tuned true believers.

A number, Rowdy. Any number. No need to be coy. Maybe not steller but is it or is it not leadership? (Hint: there are many categories of leadership with traits and subtraits that quantify them).

Yep...last time I checked you dont aggravate your hamstring fighting unless you are doing some Van Damme splits

So if they don't want him running routes, do you think they want him running into a fight? So the ONLY way that all these athletes get hamstring strains is by doing Van Damme kicks? LOL :lmao:

There is just nothing to win with the preseason fights. Everyone is wearing full equipment and it ends up being a girl fight with them grabbing facemasks instead of hair.

Football is a contact sport. Knock him on his butt during the next play. You get to legally hit the other guy.

I understand that it spills over and some guys won't back down like meatheads like Brian Cushing, but be smart about it.

Tony, Dez and TSmith don't ever have to be in a fight. They are too important. Let the guys fighting for their careers do the dirty work.

Not stellar leadership? At least we agree.

But if he misses a half, you won't have him available on game day.

true enough.

But, So be it. I think the attitude he brings, day in and day out, is far more valuable. Wouldnt want to change that at all....

Well said.

Do you think the coaches have asked Dez to be more careful moving forward?

LOL........I am sure that Dez is calculating in his complex leadership agenda.
lol indeed. Leadership is not always calculated. Nor is it always complex. You are working under a false assumption if you believe both are essential in every conceivable situation.
More likely his is just an emotionally immature guy that cant control himself very well.
Immaturity is another condition that does not automatically disqualify every form of quantified leadership.

Methinks I was quoted by mistake. :)

I dont know; Probably, that is sort of the coaches role. Mangements Role. To take that position.

But I bet it goes down something like this,...."Dez, you know we need you on the field to win dont you?" .........Dez doesnt even have to respond....and thats about the extent of it.

I dont think this coaching staff does too much babysitting. Yeah, the words are said, and policy is refreshed when such incidents occur. But if he is not there, then he is not there.......................

Next man up........................This train isnt stopping for anybody.

Except Romo. It stops for Romo.

We can also agree that you are an evasive fellow, Rowdy. Pick a number. Any number. Use fingers and/or toes if necessary. Allow me to assist you so you can begin adding up the total number of weeks. One...

Yes, just as people get hit by cars jaywalking. Im not saying that fighting is good, but this thread is making something out of nothing.

That guy that sucker punched Dez could have really hurt him. A pro football player is generally a strong man.

It would not have been Dez' fault, but we would all still be numb right now, thinking about our lost season.

Ok, well I disagree with you. He needs to grow up.

Never said it was always calculated, never said immaturity automatically disqualifies. You are arguing with yourself at this point. IF you are trying to impress me with your presumed knowledge of what you think leadership is all about, it isnt working.

Ones life being in jeopardy is not a subjective standard. Your "might" is a BIG might and quite frankly would not be sufficient to establish the heightened level of self defense. If my life was indeed in jeopardy I would obviously take steps to protect it. The level of self defense that one is able to use legally is in proportion to the threat posed, not to mention some jurisdictions have a duty to retreat. So again, you argument regarding him being scared for his life is nothing more than speculation at best and not proportional to the threat involved.

Irvin had to be in fear to pick up some scissors and stab McIver and risk killing him. We weren't there so we don't know if it was justifiable but that was once incident. As I said Irvin didn't have anger issues that required counselling and can't recall any reports of him throwing punches on the practice field. Throwing punches isn't passion that's anger and Dez has trouble dealing with anger.

I can agree that I dont have any interest in answering all your dumb questions that have nothing to do with what I am saying.

Quite frankly I dont care how many weeks in a row or not in a row he has gotten into fight. The question is not material to this conversation.

These dudes are going to tell you that until he ACTUALLY breaks his jaw fighting, nothing matters. LOL

Irvin either would have been banned from the NFL or he would have had to change his lifestyle had he been playing today.
