Maybe we can trade Stanback to Jeff Ireland and the Dolphins for Dexter Coakley.

receiving corps is thinning out fellas, more news like this and TO's departure will be Jerry's demise.

:laugh2:

Who is the next new shiny toy?

Where is Danny Amendola when you need him?

You're almost giving off the impression that Stanback is more than a wasted roster spot.

What do you know that the rest of us don't?

I consider Danny Amendola to be like one of those Christmas presents you don't want and was glad to see him leave for the Eagles.

What was the point in carrying a player on the practice squad who wasn't good enough to be called up to the active roster when the team was dealing with wide receiver injuries?

I was being very sarcastic, not really letting anything be known. I just don't think a minor surgery at this point is reason to throw hands in the air and presume him done for 2009, cut in 2009, or anything like that. It's a Meniscus tear, not an ACL.

What the heck happened to the other photo? :laugh2: I was all set to make a crack about how busy Tom Brady's been lately. :laugh1:

That was from a thread over in the political zone... I got my cut-n-pastes mixed up. :p:

That "other" photo was only up for a few seconds, but I knew someone would catch it.:

With Wes Welker being the next Danny Amendola I dont understand why Danny has slipped from grace.

Fair enough. But us chicken littles see it as another log on the fire. He hasn't been healthy since hes been in Dallas. Kind of hard to do anything when you can't get healthy. Some people have the body to play and others have the body of a someone who shouldn't sneeze.

This is one of the most minor injuries he has had by far, if not the most minor.

Didn't see this posted yet.

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I was holding out one last hope for him but this guy is an injury magnet. $#@$@$@ Good riddance...

Umm....he hasn't gone anywhere. Other than the hospital, that is. ;)

He seems to spend a lot of time everywhere but where he is paid to be.. This is so frustrating because he seems to be very talented...

This is not a great way to head into training camp but Stanback will have to deal with it and earn his way on the team. At this stage I would not be suprised to see one of the other young WR beat him out of a job.
As long as he's ready by TC, I wouldn't cut him yet. I wanna see him compete w/ the other WRs; I'm hoping Ogletree shows enough to make the team.

They've invested too much time and energy on the kid for them to go ahead and cut him before waiting to see if he comes back healthy enough to compete in this year's training camp.

WR Isaiah Stanback will sport a specialty helmet this season in 2009.
