I was wrong .... I assumed the coaches saw something in him to keep him on the roster.

I hate giving up on such a young player ..... but if he was stopping the progress of the team .... then it had to be done.

Wasn't he a 2nd round pick ?

We have to do better with OL players in the draft. We sucked there bad the last couple of years!

So it is Jefferson instead of Amendola?

But why? I thought Jefferson ran bad routes and couldn't catch nearly as well.

He has a year longer in the offense and he can get off the line better.

Way to bring agenda into a civil thread.

I suppose the fact that Jefferson having had two years here to Amendola's one would be a foreign concept to you. That maybe Amendola needs a year of strength training...and that every 'Danny lover' has readily admitted as much...would also be above your head.

QFT

Since Jefferson is going to be playing this game will the make him ineligible for the PS once the other players come back.

My response was to those Rudy fans who took the option to discredit Jefferson just to boost up Amendola.

Don't deny that it happened. And since you are one of his supporters, your pathetic attempt at trying to appear unbiased when you have an agenda of your own is very amusing. Acknowledging an area he needs to improve in doesn't count for being neutral, no matter how hard you try.

I don't see it that way.

We just traded for Holland and used a 5th rd. future pick to do it.

So I assumed somebody that was less experiened was going to be let go.

And they went heavy on keeping OL in the cutdowns because they obviously felt they had to leave a spot open with the pending Holland acquisition..meaning there was going to be a revolving chair thing at that position.

And Dallas is now, thank goodness, looking at the here and now and not trying to develop necessarily for the future.

It's now..not later..so they took Holland. Which means Marten is gone.

As they always say..players are not always competing against each other on the team. When it comes to depth positions..they are competing against the rest of the NFL players, too..if somebody gets avaialble with trade or releases.

I think Marten may be back on our practice squad if he's not picked up.

We'll see.

"Your pathetic attempt ... is amusing."

It's like straight out of a bad spy novel. Do people actually talk like this?

Its too bad that the injury bug hit one position so bad on this team.

Now the team is juggling their 53 and losing maybe 2 players with potential and maybe even more when they sign a QB next week :(

Walden would of been a good player to pick and now Marten is gone and will probally be picked up from the waiver wire.

Oh well...we can hope Marten clears waivers and get put on the practice squad.....Jefferson will probally get waived next week when they sign the QB and when Hurd gets back.

Holland replaces Marten and you cant go wrong with a switch like that on the roster.

and yes....we do need to draft better on the OL....

I don't recall too many people trying to discredit Jefferson to boost Amendola...i do, however recall the opposite.

Let me get this straight....I enter this thread and applaud Jefferson for making the 53 man roster...and that somehow makes me pathetic. I'm trying to mask my hate for Jefferson by giving him props?

You, on the other hand, enter this thread and interject you typical pathetic jab at a player that wasn't even being discussed....and I'm the one with the agenda? Gotcha.

You're weak.

I am a Danny Amendola supporter, I'm also a Jefferson supporter....and how is supporting both a 'pathetic attempt at trying to appear unbaised' when I actually am? I've given both players props, and called out both players for mistakes....like neutral people do. The reason it appears that way to you is because of the people like yourself that felt the need to discredit Amendola at all costs....I found it worthwhile to engage his pathetic detractors...for whatever reason. I now know it was fruitless, as most of you are incapable of opening your eyes to differing thought processes. Jefferson, didn't have the detractors, hence me not having to discuss him often. Can you comprehend this? Does your head hurt?

I don't give a damn what you think. You've been proven lacking on this forum so many times it's not worth my time to pile on. Everyone already knows what you're about.

This is very good news. This will send a message to the other backups that they are supposed to develop into a starter standard or they will be shipped. Montrae Holland is going to be a great addition. Kosier will be quality backup depth as he can play both guard positions. Holland won't give up the starting job once he gets his sea legs.
