What the heck pressers and tweets are you looking at? That's beyond reaching for anything I've seen/heard from him.

You mean the interviews just recently I quoted 5 times in here where he is talking out his butt or the tweets he posted saying he is sorry for what he did and then erased and reposted saying he is innocent? Ones like that ?

There are many times one decides not to terminate an employee but rather just not renew their contract. That is the case here it appears. You can add all the insults and agenda towards the FO you wish but you and I know the same things about this situation....not much.

The behavior of the team and the rest of the NFL seems to point the arrow of responsibility towards Hardy and not the club. It is not his past behavior that seems to be the issue but something that arose this last year and the rumors swirl around Hardy mistreating his coach. No decent coach is going to tolerate that.

You admit you don't know squat but you have to throw in that I have an agenda.

Keep defending every move they make and maybe we'll have another great 20 years.

I'm not judging anyone in the FO either; you are. If you don't know all the facts then IMO you should reserve any judgments until you have enough.

I'm not defending them merely withholding judgment. I'm being judgmental towards you because you are judging them without knowing all the facts. That's not personal in nature.

You criticize the FO while I wonder why they wouldn't want a pass rusher like Hardy around when they already don't have enough. Then I make assumptions based on what a reasonable person might do in that situation rather than assume they are being cowards whatever the hell that means. Hardy screwed up big time and the FO actions seem to fit the narrative of the rumors that Hardy took a dump on the HC.

The only things I saw you quote don't relay what you were implying. If that's what you're going on, then what I said about it being beyond a reach is 100% accurate.

How could he blow such a great opportunity here? I don't understand it.

I'm gonna be a Dallas cowboy
I'm a Dallas cowboy
I have the Dallas cowboy helmet on
I'm on the Dallas Cowboys field

There is just sooooo much.,. And he still blew it.
He can't sniff Charles Hayley's......

There are quotes from his recent interview where he is talking out both sides regarding being wrong but innocent. It's been his MO. There can be any amount of spin to them but to me it goes along with what he has shown over the past year with how he has no self awareness regarding anything

Ah, the old "if you don't agree with my wildly off-base criticism you're defending the team against all actual criticisms" argument. No thread is complete without one, really.

This one also includes a "20 years of futility that I won't actually substantiate either" reference, too. It's a bonus.

Neither is rare, but when you see them jammed together like this, you just know that whatever you were saying before is so wrong that there's just no point in trying at all.

The Dallas Morning News has a decent little article on this topic again today.
Some really good points
  • Hardy had three sacks and a forced fumble and an interception in just the first 3 games.
  • Then on Nov 6, the photo's of Nicole Holder's bruised body went national (I'm not making any claims about how it was done etc)
  • After that, Hardy's behavior and performance got progressively worse.
  • He had just three sacks and no turnovers the rest of the season.

Another note. They say the team also felt Hardy was a bad influence (even if not overwhelming) on Gregory and that still think Gregory has a real future.

If someone want to do a thread on the article, here it is.

I just don't get not cutting him if he was such a detriment.

Why waste the money? Why let him be a bad influence one more second than needed. Cut people for dress codes, late and drunk and high is whatevs...couple more weeks, it'll be fine

He started with the 'agenda' card and here comes his Wonder Twin buddy to back up the FO at all costs.

The only reasonable reason is they have become so enamored with the comp pick system they wanted to get something back for him. Same reason they won't cut Carr or Church.

Lol. If you can't win a point on merit, resort to doubling down on rhetoric and hope nobody notices.

I haven't even been following the recent flows of the debate in this thread. I just saw you giving up on the actual debate up above and felt I should comment since it's the point where you officially stopped trying.

If that's what you're basing it on, then I stand by what I said. To me it just looks like you don't like the way he talks.

How would he need to say it to make it click in your brain? When he said he was innocent he means he did not do the things he was charged for doing. Does that register in your brain? Believe him or not, that is what he is saying. When he said he did some things wrong, he was not talking about the things he was charged for doing. He had already broke up with her and cut her off for whatever reason. I suspect the wrong doing he was speaking of was any involvement or communications he had with her after he broke up with her. That is what ultimately bit him in the butt. So there you go, he may not have said it in a way that clicked in your brain but he was not "talking out of both sides" Like I already said, you can believe him or not but your previous perception of him contradicting his own statements is not accurate.

All of that and in his mind just hanging with 'party people' was a big mistake.
