Do you keep Garrett

How do you think it will? I think we need a major overhaul on the interior of the Oline, and secondary. Not sure we can accomplish that in one year.
We accomplished more in this year with more needs than that.

I see it taking more than 1 year myself. If we nail a couple of FAs and 4 draft picks we could be there.

I wasn't talking about that. I'm fine with the leaders on the coaching staff. A position coach change here or there would be nice though.

ah I vote for Campo and Maxie oh an Coach D

Don't know about a major overhaul. We definitely need a better center. A lot of it has to do with how guys like Arkin, Nagy, and Kowalski progress. On defense, they need to upgrade the DL, but I think adding one good player can do that. They also need to be better at SOLB and CB. They can do that in one offseason. Again, a lot depends on how guys like Carter and Albright progress.

Garrett has not impressed me at all and from a results standpoint he is very Wade Phillipsish.

I'm willing to give him 1 more year unless this team doesn't come out and look prepared Sunday Night.

Even though I don't think it's his fault, I'd like to see a young OL coach to replace Houck.

He's supposedly retiring at the end of the year anyway. Hopefully we go young.

You're reaching.......Maybe to you he sucked but I remember a guy who was a hot commodity as a future HC and he turned down an offer to coach the Raiders, stayed with the Cowboys and went to NO the following year. Not sure you can call that "overrated" but if it is, give me a few of those guys.

The only coach on the Cowboys that might even sniff a head coaching job is Rob Ryan and even then I wouldn't put money on it.

I didn't say he sucked or was overrated. That's what I was reading before he left here. The same things they're saying about Garrett they said about Payton.

You all are moving towards Danny Snyder type territory.

I bet you thought the same thing of Rick Carlisle.

Exactly right. I remember thread after thread about people understanding why Fassell took away his play calling duties.

All conveniently forgotten due to his success in Nawlins.

Garrett has shown all his skills over the years and outside of 2007 and the end of 2009 he's been ok.

His game management has cost us games too.

I'm just not feeling him as our head coach.

I wish we would've been the team that had the cahonies to hire Harbaugh but instead we stayed complacent and it looks like more of the same.

Carlisles stubbornness with personel drove me crazy but he manages a game like a headcoach should.

With Garrett the Cowboys are still a mistake prone / chaotic team.

I'm willing to give him another year unless this team comes out Sunday Night unprepared.

Our team should be fighting for the 2 seed right now but we're just trying to scratch and claw to barely get in.

It's a pretty big deal to fire and replace your Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator. I wouldn't do it yet. I'd think about adding some training wheels, though (e.g., Assistant HC / Assistant OC).

That's the thing though.. I think Garrett puts his ego ahead of winning and he is just not a very good playcaller and most likely won't hire another one.

We're at our best when Romo is improvising outside of his crap playcalls.

I think the "training wheels" should be Jeff Fisher as HC.

We can keep Garrett around to sell nachos at the Tailgate Grill on the club level of the stadium. It's not like he'll be getting a HC or OC job anywhere else in the league, and my nachos had too little cheese last time I ate from there. I hate it when you have like 5 chips left, with no cheese at the end. Garrett can maybe stack good days in all 3 phases of nacho making and get it right up there.

Why bother hiring good coaches if all that matter is getting good players? Any coach can win the SB if you have great talent. Ask Barry Switzer. You want to get a coach who can get most out of mediocre talent. Look at Jim Harbaugh. Look what he has done with that mediocre offense. And he is getting most out of the Deadskins bust castoff Carlos Rogers.

I haven't seen JG do that as the OC or the HC. Both the offense and the defense still look confused. It's so obvious at time how much the team is not prepared on gameday.
