Our coordinators aren't bad, that being said, there are a lot of young coordinators out there that have been doing a great job as of late. Do you think the game is starting to pass them by. They were a combined 21-63 as head coaches. Not calling for anyone to get fired, just interested in your thoughts.

Our offense is old school but thats perfectly fine and works when as long as you can pound the rock. Defensively were very plain vanilla and need to mix in more blitzes and disguises to force offenses into mistakes.

Linehan was a genius this year. If you don't like Garrett, fine, but then you have to give Linehan a ton of credit for Dak's success.

its about the timing of showing "nads". Rod M needed to send the Heath's off the edge early to keep Rogers from settling into a grove. He needed his corners in physical mode at the same time............

Garrett showed much more agression and nads' early in season.......he showed bad timing and told his team they couldnt play smashmouth on the 1st drive......and then on the Spike he showed a complete lack of nads' when it was needed most.

No amount of coaching can overcome a severe lack of talent on the Defense. The Club , sadly, went as far as the defense could take them. Does the club need a new HC with NFL caliber skill..Yes. let this HC bring in his own staff. Who's fault is the coaching staff? Therein is the real problem. Ask yourself, what real HC would come and try to work in Jerry's World.

A four man front is also meant to keep someone in the pocket and not allow him to get outside and buy more time. I like that capitulate word. Lol

We had seen some real success w/the 3-man line in our first game w/GB and in some other late-season games.

I'm all about aggressive defense, but sending four or five has to produce results.

I like using 3 down-line and then bringing 1 or 2...even 3 guys from various positions. We got all of our sacks from non-linemen so that tells us a lot.

None.

The teams that enjoy cohesion across the decision-making from personnel to coaching work the best. Belichick in New England and Popovich in San Antonio run the show without compromise.

Those guys make all ultimate decisions.

In Dallas we got Marinelli running the D, Linehan the offense, Garrett makes a few (but not many) decisions and Stephen/Jerry/McClay dominate draft decisions.

And we all know Jerry sticks his nose into coaching decisions.

Yeah, it's all good when it works and it sucks when it doesn't. Lol, believe me, I've had my share of criticism throughout my career.

Yup. Marinelli told Jerry he didn't want or need any players for his defense. He said, "Enough already." Don't be drafting me anyone!
he hand picked tyrone Crawford as his warren Sapp, how's that working out

Yes. Today's elite QBs only eat up bend but don't break defenses. Pressure is the only way too make elites make mistakes.

No team without pressure will ever beat Rodgers, Ryan, and Brady, and like it or not that's who we'll hag to beat of we want a Super Bowl within 5 years.

I think the offensive scheme is antiquated. It can and does work but it needs significant positions filled with elite talent. If there are problems on the line or at QB......it will not look good at all. There are some offenses that move a lot faster than ours(with lesser talent) but as long as Linehan would stick to our strength, it would be good enough. He ventures off the path too often for my liking.

I am not sure about Marinelli, seems to be reluctant to blitz in key situations. I don't like the bend but not break philosophy and would rather put tons of pressure on the QB in most plays but I know he hasn't had much to work with but I think the team can find a better coordinator. We just need more talent on D, maybe no one can work with that fodder

I won't even address the ST's until they find a great return guy...until then, hard to tell what they do right and wrong.

The Cowboys had a top 5 offense this year.

Every knows the defense lacks talent but overperforms each year.

Their records as HC don't mean anything as coordinators.

I don't know about that, coordinators have staffs that they need to lead and direct. Ive had coordinators that had been let go as head coaches, it didn't take long to realize why. I had to step in and coordinate the coordinator. Leadership skills are a huge part of it. Not saying that's the case with these guys, but I disagree that their past as HC don't mean anything. Respectfully, Big Dog. Wanna keep things civil. Lol

I laugh for two reasons.

1) Our offensive production this year with a rookie QB.

2) Years may pass but some things about the game will never change. Nicknames and motivational t-shirts will always have a direct effect on who can play.

Both are above average which is more than I can say about our HC.

The two qualms I have about Linehan is he gets too pass happy at times and he often tries to outsmart teams which often leads to outsmarting himself.

With Marinelli I really liked the production he got out of the street FA's we brought in during the season in his first year. Unfortunately over the last couple of years we really haven't helped him out much by increasing the talent on defense. Too many gambles on guys like Hardy, Gregory and now even injured Jaylon Smith. Even so I think he's just done OK, definitely not one of the top DC's in the league. But hopefully Smith will pan out and we'll add some more pieces this year.

I think we were a play or two away from being in the NFC championship game. Sheesh.
