Other than fear or injury and I guess whatever losses he'll suffer endorsement-wise, there is no motivation for Dak to budge off his spot - such is the situation Stephen "the highest paid RB is the floor" Jones created

Tua is far from great, but this is life in the NFL. If you don’t want to pay a QB big money, even a pretty good one you’ll have virtually nothing at the position.

1st extension. Much easier to give and he got paid for being "OK". Yep life in the NFL but I don't think 2nd contracts are earned as easily. Still time for Tua to grow but alas we've been through this.

Can only imagine the money CJ Stroud will command when he’s up, if he continues to build off his rookie season. Dare I say the first $70 million a year QB and that’s no exaggeration.

Best to get out in front of it signing players you’ve decided to keep. Understanding you may be making a mistake. Remember when Hurts signed his deal it was the highest in NFL history in AAV, 2nd in guaranteed compensation. The contract took effect March of this year, so he has not played a single game on his deal and it’s now 7th in AAV and 6th in guaranteed compensation. That’s how the business goes.

Stroud will command a lot. I have high expectations for that texan squad this year. They remind me of SF but on the AFC side thanks to their coach.

What’s making it extremely difficult for the Cowboys is they’re having a sign their franchise QB and their top receiver. Those are the two highest priced players on your team, along with an edge rusher, and the Cowboys have to try and figure out how to pay him. They have a huge dilemma.

The Eagles #2 WR just signed for $25 million AAV. There is obviously a way to get these things done. If Hurts signed the deal he’s on today fans would say he’s giving his team a “hometown discount”. Jerry doesn’t want Dak. That’s all there is to it. Fans’ angst is wondering who does he want?

That’s still $10 million less than our guy is looking for and Philly isn’t paying their starting QB $60 million which is probably what Dak is looking for. Philly also doesn’t have an edge rusher that’s looking for $40 million per next season. Sorry, no offense but you sound like a typical fan when you say there’s way to get these things done. You’re not the one negotiating these contracts. The Cowboys are in a very difficult situation having to try and figure out a way to sign three high priced players.

This is a fake quote and hopefully the mods do what needs to be done.

Your emotions towards Dak get the best of you too much and cause you to break rules.

You're hurting right now because you know it's almost over, but that's no excuse to make up a fake quote.

I believe it takes both sides. Obviously, the Joneses are not offering what Dak's side wants and he wants more than the Joneses are offering. It takes two to tango.
That you Mick? The two to tango stuff is nonsense. Every contract in the league needs two to tango. And every other team gets it done. Just not this one. Stop making excuses for dumb and dumber

Yes, every contract does, but that doesn't mean that the Joneses are the only hang-up here. We don't know what they are offering or what Dak is wanting. If he's wanting $60 million per year (like some thing he will get), do you think the Joneses shouldn't be trying to negotiate that down?

arguaby, tua being younger and still has an upside vs Dak who is 31 and is likely at his peak.
looking at it that way, Dak should get less
