Lot of what if in that as Cooper could be signed long term this off season. If not, if the Cowboys got one of these young guns, already thought by most to be superior to Prescott, he would be happy to stay put as long as they paid him.
I would be 100% in favor of letting Prescott play it out and see what it looks like then and having the option to go after Tua or Herbert, if he wanted to be paid like a Tier 1. It comes down to how good I think he is and can be vs what I already see in the young guns coming up such as those two and Lawrence. I would take those 3 over him without hesitation. However, the run for all 3 of those guys is going to be something we haven't seen in a long time. If Lawrence keeps improving and he's already something else, he could have half the league trying to get him.
And there has never been hot shot QB's in college that turned out to be duds in the NFL. The list is a mile long of QB's drafted as high as #1 who turned out to be busts. Prescott a 4th round pick has played well beyond that round and only users here started this nonsense that Prescott will demand tier 1 money. In fact Prescott was quoted saying he's sure that they will agree on a fair contract for all. People here should stop believing and spreading numbers made up by users here like it's gospel. Also remember the Cowboys don't have a #1 pick this draft so any of those young guns in a QB poor draft won't be around unless your saying next years draft and then there's all the possible problems that I alread mentioned to consider. Prescott's stats just don't equal all the bashing and residency some are saying.
