As far as backups go, I think Minshew is good.

So would they put up 50 with hurts?? How many mote points would they have scored since its a huge drop off?
For every run hurts might have had.. coulda easily taken away from a throw minshew made. He didnt play bad.
They wouldn’t of turn the ball over, so we wouldn’t of scored as much. Because of that they would’ve started to work the clock in the second half… So no they would not of scored 50, but they would’ve won by double digits.

You cannot have a good game as a quarterback if you were responsible for three turnovers

Don't say anything to these idiots. They are the same morons that thought Wentz was better than Dak and thought that Hurts would be out of the NFL by now. Their stupid Hurts takes is par the course of them.

If Eagles fan want to claim a less damning loss in the contest of backup quarterback losses, they’re more than welcome.

Eagles fans are saying crap like, "You barely beat a journeyman backup."

These are the same dirtbags who booed when Donovan McNabb was drafted. The truth is this Gardner Minshew guy is very good. I think he'll end up starting somewhere.

Ironically, that is EXACTLY what most Cowboy fans said when they beat us earlier.

Bottom line is that Min was probably an upgrade in the passing game. He probably throws and reads the defense better with the pass. Its Hurts ability to run with it that is his big advantage. The way OUR defense is banged up I see no way they can contain Hurts next time we play them.

We have to control the clock and shorten the game. Keep their O on the sidelines. Reduce their amount of possessions. Which means we have to stick with the run.

I watched him when he was on East Carolina and wasn’t very impressed with him. This defense can, has, and will make a lot of journeymen and average quarterbacks look pretty damn good

I watched him in person for almost all his games at WSU. He was a stud and is worshipped on campus. Mike Leach made him a good QB

No. He’s not good. There’s a reason he doesn’t start. He’s been in the league for long enough. He is what he is. A backup. Just because he shredded this defense doesn’t mean he’s good. He’s not. You will see that if he plays again. Heck, we’ve faced him before and he did nothing. Yesterday was an indictment on this defense, not on that sorry qb.
Look at his NFL career stats, he has been very good

I didn’t follow him after his 2 seasons at ECU but after looking up his stats he threw for more yards at WSU in one season than he did at ECU in 2 seasons. He also increased his completion percentage by 13% better as well. A new coach, and situation served him well. Thanks for sharing.

He was underwhelming at ECU and that program usually is pass heavy in which the QB puts up tons of yards.

I disagree on Min being an upgrade in the passing game. He is very average as a passer in both arm strength and accuracy. Hurts, at least this year, has been very good at both.

There are stats, and then there is watching him. Carson Wentz for example, put out a stat line much superior to what he actually offers to a football team. To a much lesser extent Dak has that same problem.

49ers are going to shred both of these teams.

I agree with that, only thing is, the 49ers Online isn't as good as the Eagles. If Parson's is actually able to wreak havoc again, he can probably give that rookie some issues but I doubt we even make it to play them. With the way the defense is playing, they'll be lucky to get out of the Wild Card round anyway.

As did they back in October... that game got tight...

Oh I agree. San Fran would prob beat Philly in a close game… if it was in San Fran. In Philly, I think Eagles win fairly easily.

I think San Fran beats Philly in either stadium. Their defense is just way too good. IMO, the 9ers will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Whether or not they win, I'm not 100 percent sure. They'll probably face either Buffalo or KC, both of whom are great teams. But I think San Fran at least gets there, and maybe wins it.

Yeah, not an unreasonable analysis.. I can see it as well. Their only flaw is the rookie QB. Eventually the rookie may catch up with him if he is not the next coming of TB12.

Gardner Minshew is a pretty good QB but I’ve noticed since the Cowboys win that a lot of Cowboys fans are trying to glorify him into being a lot better than what he really is. It’s all in an attempt to make themselves feel even better about the win over the Eagles. I’ve even seen more than one fan saying Minshew is better than Hurts. Not true!

Funny how no one in Philly was humbled by their win over us earlier in the year against our "backup QB".

Logic never is a strong thing with these meatheads.
